A couple of FOB issues
Hello all, First post and first corvette! ( I'll post pics once I get this figured out)
3 fobs came with my '05 c6. Fob "A" labelled 1 works perfectly. Fob "B" labelled 1 also will lock, unlock etc via the buttons but will NOT allow me to access "options".
Fob "C" labelled 2 is NOT recognized by the car and will do nothing.
Batteries ARE NEW and installed correctly.
I performed the "open the hatch and turn key 5 times" procedure with FOB "C" to no avail.
For what it's worth, the hatch press pad will NOT respond with ANY Fob, but hatch will open with Fob "A" and "B" button press.
It's a mystery to me. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Dave

If the hatch touch pad by license plate is not responding, is that a dealer fix?
Thanks for your suggestions. FWIW one more time..... I have not ever been able to get the DIC to display anything after the 5 key turns, regardless of fob location.

Just to clarify... The car is turned off, the DIC is therefore blank, the key is fully inserted, and you turned the key five times in less than five seconds?
And again, to clarify, when FOB C is inserted into the glovebox slot, it is unrecognized? But the other two FOBs are?

Since I've NEVER had the DIC respond after the key turns, none of the fobs were recognized. (Fob A functions perfectly despite not being able to test it in the GB slot)
Next step is to test the GB slot for functionality, IF I can get the DIC to respond after the 5 key turns.

keep on turning the key, I doubt there is such a thing as turning it to often, I think sometimes it just doesn't "catch" every turn, don't count, do a bunch and see if it responds.

Thanks everybody for your advice and links to tech support. Tomorrow is another day. Weather looks good for a couple of hours of "fobbing".

From your description it sounds like your fob "B' is programmed as either fob-3 or fob-4.
You can have up to 4 fobs but only those programmed as 1 and 2 will allow options and presets to be associated with them..
If the hatch button (above the license plate) is not working, it may just be dirty.
There's an easy DIY thread showing how to remove the button and clean it. I think it may be a sticky.
Congrats on your new car and welcome to the Forum.

Fob/DIC issues
I've followed the tech procedure exactly. No cell phones, no fobs present, trunk open, key in hatch, 5 turns in less than 5 sec, (even tried 6,7,8 ,9 turns)
Like I've mentioned before, fob A works perfectly, fob B works but does not allow access to OPTIONS, fob C does not respond at all.
Anyone else ever experience this?
Probably means a trip to the dealer to figure it out.

I'm STILL not able to get the DIC to respond to the five key turns. So, reprogramming the fobs is a moot point until I solve that problem.

Highly unlikely that it is a car specd for another country. The problem is by far the most common problem encountered. Read this thread where I have posted instructions but then also there are many pages of tips and tricks that people have found to work for them. It's alot of reading but valuable info.
