This is my first(CRM) Red Corvette I have had 3 other different colors.I have had this car for 2 months now and on 3 different occasions I have had LEO'S race up behind me without lights on and follow me to the next stop light and I can see then in the rearview mirror punching my plates into the computer.This has never happened to me before I got this Red Corvette.

Has anyone else had an experience like this where they switch to Red and get a little more attention from the LEO'S.

Nope.. I've talked with troopers around here about whether they are more likely to pull over a red sports car or not.. they always say... just the ones going too fast.

Ummmmm no All my Vettes have been Red and never had this issue. If you can see enough to see that they are punching your plates in then you obviously need to be pulled over for distracted driving

Yep had an yellow Vette and no problems, bought a red one and got pulled over twice in one day.

oh come on now.. Yellow vettes are at least as eye catching as CRM or MRM... Yellow cars always catch my eye.. don't you think LEOs see them as well??

I was driving back to my house last night around 7pm with a buddy in the passenger seat. I'd just taken him out for his first vette ride and we'd done some twisties and some WOT... on the road to my neighborhood the speed limit is 40.. I'm cruising and I check the rear view and out of nowhere there's a local LEO and I'm doing about 55.. I'm sure he's gonna flag me, but I just lifted off the gas and coasted until it was time to signal (about 1/4 mile) and slipped into my neighborhood as he cruised on by.. whew!!.. Maybe he was distracted by the awesome shine on my ride and the carbon fiber spoiler?? I've see guys pulled over around here for 50+ in a 40 for sure. I got lucky (red or not).

You may want to speak with one of them and ask if a very similar car has been stolen or used in a crime in the area. Maybe, just maybe it is not all about you.

Agree. The average age of a Corvette owner is 61 and it's my guess that the average LEO is in no hurry to ticket grandpa. On the other hand, a young Vette driver (spied by an LEO) is probably more at risk than the color of the car.

Was not a problem in my previous red C6's, red C5 or in my red C4. Seems my AW draws more attention.

I did get pulled over for 6 over when there were over 10 of us all going the same speed. I was in a RED Lightning and was in the middle of the pack. Guess I looked like I was faster than the others.

You dont need a red sports car where I live. The local cops will stop a bicycle for speeding....

I have notice my Radar detector lights up a lot more in the Corvette than our other vehicles though....

3 of my last 4 cars have been red. I have learned to watch my speed closely.
