Yup. Lower the windows and stow the targa top under the hatch where it belongs and you won't have these problems.

How ironic because I got a wave from a C4 within the first 20 mins of me purchasing my C6, I was on my way to my dads house to show him the new ride...I barely saw him in time to wave back, he was the first wave I got and the second wave was also a C4...now that I think about it those are the only guys to wave to me so far...kinda wierd

I've owned modified Jeeps for a couple decades now. They're all over the place here and it seems like they all do the wave to other Jeepers. I got tired of keeping my hand up all the time, so I stopped doing the Jeep wave. When I purchased my C6, I figured Corvette owners would probably also do the wave...I've passed countless in the last 6 months of owning my C6 and have yet to encounter my first wave.

tl;dr If you really want to wave, get a Jeep.

Tell the truth, I have almost waived at a Trans Am or two before I realized at the last minute what I was doing.

Remind me my earliest days as a Marine Corps MP. One of our jobs was to salute the officers as they drove through the main gate. I can't tell you how many Navy Chief Petty Officers I accidently saluted. The brass emblems on their collars made them look just like commissioned officers.

The CPOs were typically pretty classy about it though. They would almost always return the salute with a big smile...

I only took my eyes off the road for a second to wave to a passing C5 -
I won't do that again!

Im 34 years old and the guys that waved to me were older and I feel like I've been accepted into an elite group! Share your thoughts!
Glad your excited, but an "elite" group? Really, it's just a fun car. Elite is a bit of a stretch, no? I mean, it's actually a pretty basic GM car when you get down to it. And, they are actually pretty affordable compared to other vehicles. I have a 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum that is pretty similar in price. Yes, a pickup truck!

This is not meant to be an attack on you, C6ROLLER, as I am happy that you are excited! I certainly don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, and my thread is not directed at you, specifically, just my thoughts, in general. I am sure you are good dude!

It's just that, for me, thinking that "we" are somehow special because we drive a regular vehicle with some out-of-the-ordinary bodywork, seems a bit, umm, weird, and uh, dare I say, childish?...

Flame suit on!!

And I as I am typing this, I think to myself, why in the hell am I spending time sharing my thoughts when I could be out riding one of the motorcycles, or one of the convertibles!

Ciao!

I wave every chance I get but seems like fewer and fewer owners are keeping the tradition alive.

Weird. Go to the C4 section and they say the exact same thing about the C6 folks.

The elite part isnt the Vette itself...Its the fact that you have gone out and spent the money on a "lets have fun vehicle" We are an Elite group as far as it matters to us to remember to have fun in life...I also ride a HD and use to boat in the great lakes. Boaters, bikers, horse back riders all wave to each other. Its a hey your having as much fun as I am wave. I know cause your out here with me doing the same thing.

Now see a nice responce not a flame, just lettin ya know why we are Elite ..so the poster was correct . Will wave at you later today when I get off this PC.
