Just wondering if there is any way to change the voice on the stock GM navigation unit. 2012 TR GS 3lt. Thanks for any information. Bill in San Diego

You could have answered "NFW".

I was hoping I could get mine to end every phrase with the word, "Master".

On our 2006, I did change the voice, perhaps not in the way the OP wants.

Going into the DIC personalization, I selected German as the language; thinking it would just change the written messages. But the Nav started giving turn instructions in German too! Took me a while to get out of that...

I'm about to ditch the factory nav. After reading the quick start guide and, the big manual, I've come to the conclusion that it is taking up weight and space. Programmed it to get to the Apple store in Southlake, TX from my home. Darn thing took me way out of route by over 25 miles. And to make matters worse, right through the middle of Ft Worth. Can't wait to see how it tells me to go to Chicago this weekend.

Try reading the tutorial from talon90, and a little practice. We just turned over 100k miles using the factory nav, and it works well for us.

Oh it works ............ I'm just not impressed with it. Google maps app works great. Plus, the phone fits in my back pocket. Try that with the factory nav.

Be care with the whole "back pocket" thing. You might crack the screen when you sit down...

If it's like the OEM nav I had in a 2007 STS I had, you could change it to British English. Nice, sexy accent on that gal...
