Who has Sirius/XM?
Issues and gripes with trying to cancel a subscription notwithstanding, do you enjoy your satellite radio? I've been kicking around the idea for some time, and $15 a month really isn't too bad, but I only drive my car a couple days a week, maybe to and from work if it's a nice day, and the occasional relaxing cruise. We're talking under 1000 miles a month.
Worth it or skip it? Our radio programming here in St. Louis is really pretty terrible, so at any given time, there may be 14 commercials on 16 stations, or the same song on 5 of them, etc. I would like some variety, and I do miss classical music on the radio, so that would be a bonus. I'm just sick of hearing the same damn songs/commercials constantly. The only way I actually get to hear music is if I use my phone/mp3 player.

Yesterday I cancelled it on my wife's car. I told them it was too much, they offered me $9.95 a month. Told them still too high, and ended up getting a year for $86. The total was $111 but we were past due on the old bill...

Have a subscription for every car I own. I hope to never be without it. Music, talk, news, sports. Great variety, and always available, even driving long distances, so all that damn seeking and scanning is no longer required to find a station, or a game.
When I take the ipod, I still end up using the sat radio because it allows me to hear the newest music. I use shazaam on my phone to tag the songs i like when they play on the sat radio, then i can download them for the laptop and iPod later.
Other than I'd like it to cost less, not ever one issue.

I love it. The vehicle I drive most does not have it though. Three vehicles do have it. I seriously question anyone who says "never a problem renewing". I've had it from day one and it's always a hassle to get the price you want to pay! Pandora will eventually overtake XM.

We do a lot of road trips every vette season, so it's really nice to have lot's of choices to listen to. Since we frequent PGA tour events, we probably tunein to PGATour Radio station the most on the way to tournaments to get the latest from the tournament.
We pay 97.00 a year for the service.

For the way you use your car, I wouldn't bother with sat radio. I've had it in a few recent cars for a few months, but didn't sound very good, so never used it. Sirius channels are included on my home dish Network TV, so sometimes listen to it on home office computer. Thats the limit of it for me, and no extra cost. Also, keep in mind, sat radio usually doesn't work in the garage.

I have had it for years. My Vette is my daily driver, but I still only drive it a little less than a 1,000 miles each month. Most of the time I drive it, it is a short trip less than 10 miles. But I do have frequent 100 mile each/way trips.
I do enjoy it.

I cancel mine every 6 months. They always offer me 1 year for $77 but I refuse. So I have them turn it off. Then a couple of weeks later I get a card in the mail offering 6 months for $25, and I take it.
Been doing this for several years on the Honda and on my second "special" for the 'Vette.
It's a hassle but that's all I'm willing to pay.

It's marginally worth it to me, mostly for that 1.5 hour drive most weekends, coming back from my mother's house.

I have it in all three of my cars-two with the lifetime subscription and I love it. Here in Northern California, there are no radio stations I want to listen to anymore. They've changed the music formats on all my favorite stations so no more over the air radio for me. I like the fact that when I do a long road trip I can listen to the same satellite stations without commercials for the entire drive. No need to search for local stations when I drive through a new city etc. I added a Lockpick to the C6 so that I can use my iPod but I've never used it because I always listen to SiriusXM instead. I don't use Pandora because if you drive through an area where there's no cell signal you won't get Pandora. So for me I'm very happy with satellite radio.

There are two radio stations here... One AM one FM. Both Suck.
I need XM or I won't have anything.
No cell service in the mountains, so no streaming either...

I've had it since 2005 and love it. I liked the versatility of the portable unit when I first got it because I had the car kit, home kit and boom box. Now I just have it in both Vettes and wouldn't take a road trip without it. It's nice not having to search for stations. I only wish my DD/company car had it.
