4K? You are dreaming. I did mine about 4 months ago and it was more like 12K and that was with used parts that I procured from the forum.... That's including new Cup Rims/Tires, Z06 brakes all parts, paint and labor.

What exactly does a ZR1 conversion entail? Super charger with ZR1 hood as well?. He stated from a base car so I take it, that means the wide body kit as well.

Assuming you mean just body panels?
if you paint and install yourself, without wheels, tires brakes etc, you can probably buy one of those cheap body kits that look like crap and do it for that.
But then you would have a clone that looks like crap...I guess it's all about what you really want.
Mine cost wayyy more than $4,000

Just thinking the same thing.

In the long run the least expensive is to use all OEM parts. Too many horror stories about fitment issues with aftermarket parts. and the cost of making them look right.

If you can manage to be the middle car in a 3-car rear end collision and the #3 guy has insurance, the body panel part will be free. You'll have a tough time getting the wheels, brakes, and rotors for under $4K.

Not quite..the carbon fiber ZR1 body panels cost much more and the insurance wont pay it to replace base C6 panels.

$54.95 also flea bay, top that for a cheap ZR1 conversion. The breakfast boys at McDonalds would be impressed.

I know a guy named Fast Eddie. He got me some parts that he had "lying around" for a couple hundred. I have his verbal promise that it's all legal.
