Default Matte Red Z06 - PlastiDip (Pics)

Just finished this weekend. IMO, car looks good.

There are a few small blemishes which we plan to refinish the whole car in a month or two.

Will take more pics then, enjoy.

That's kinda cool, but now the shiny wheels really stand out.
What about wrapping the a pillars?

Is the car red underneath?

Please post some pics of peeling it off. That would be really cool.

Planning on doing the A-Pillars in carbon eventually.

The car is VR, just has a clear matte finish now.

Def. will, plan on taking more pics in round 2. This was a trial to see how the dip goes on and comes off.

I guess the one nice thing about it, is you can peel it off if you get tired of it. I ma not sure it ties together. You have the chrome wheels, the high gloss carbon fiber splitter, side skirts and diffuser and then a matte finish on the body.

I like the concept, how expensive is it to do the whole car.

My buddy and I did it ourselves. The matte clear is a lot thinner than regular colored plasti-dip, so this was a test run. Plan on pulling off more trim pieces and better prep next time.

The kit costs $300

I think it looks pretty cool. I do agree that there is too much "shiny" stuff still on it. Like wheels and splitter. I think it would look great with dark matte wheels.

For the cost, you can do it in Matte Red today and when you are tired back to your normal color or another Matte finish

Where did that front splitter come from? I like the up kick in the middle.
