Default Exhaust burble / pop bad?

I plan to add an aftermarket cat-back exhaust for my Z06. I posted a thread a few weeks back requesting advice - over the axle only, or also purchase the x-pipe. The responses overwhelming suggested over the axle only. No need to replace the stock H-pipe by spending $450 on an x-pipe. The X-pipe only reduces burble / pop and doesn't add any significant performance gain for a stock motor.

My new question: Is the exhaust burble / pop bad? I really like the sound, but if it's bad for the motor I will definitely purchase the x-pipe. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks for this post. I checked out that thread and it had the info I was looking for: No Harm To Motor. The super long post on the second page seems like it was written by an engineer well versed in fluid dynamics. I found it to be the most helpful.

Thanks everyone.

Chevy's NPP exhaust option burbles & pops just like most aftermarket exhausts. Would the manufacturer knowingly offer an option that would cause mechanical problems and lessen the car's profitability through the need to pay warranty claims caused by the option? Maybe, but I doubt it. The point is that exhaust systems that exhibit the burble and pop will not harm the car.
