Default Cleaning Transparent Targa Top

When I try to clean the clear top using something like blue window cleaner it leaves rainbow colored steaks that soft cloth buffing doesn't remove. Any suggestions on what to use that doesn't streak or is it just inherent in the plastic material?

Don't use glass cleaner or anything with ammonia, alcohol or abrasives. Plexus is often recommended. Here's a long discussion with good info:

Plexus is the correct cleaner/wax to use.

paper will always scratch, I just use soap and water and master blaster to dry it off.

Our technique, which has worked well on many transparent tops for 12 years now:

Wash gently, usually do the entire car at once.
Dry with non-abrasive (good microfiber or 100% U.S. cotton) towel.
Use GM Glass Cleaner (white foamy stuff in spray can) with similar towel.
Finish with your favorite wax/sealant. I use Rejex but some others are good too.

If there is any dust whatsoever on the top, use compressed air to blow it off or re-wash.

Me too and between polishes just car wash with microfiber mit, 100% cotten towel or blow dry then hit it with the Z6 gloss enhancer and quick buff.

Had a spray bottle of Maguires Quick Detailer on the garage shelf so I called their tech line to ask about compatability with the plastic top. They felt it would work well. I tried it and it gave me a streak free surface. I will still pick up the Plexus the next trip to the big city as we don't have a cycle shop close by. Thanks to all for the recommendations.

I use Griot's quick detailer -- works great with no streaks - have been
using it frequently (dd) for 2 years with no problems.

you might want to consider using a solvent free polymer, ie zaino.. in addition to just cleaning the top..it layers and protects the top from fine road rash and inside, from accidental smudges that might just leave hairline swirls... just a thought.
