Hey guys. i have a 2006 z51. Im looking to buy a zo6 hood from a fellow forum member and put it on my z51. Will this work? Is it as simple and swapping the hoods out? Thanks for your help

Yes. The hood fitment is the same across models except if you need extra clearance for a blower.

i meant to say front bumper. I want the little induction the z06 has on its bumper. before i looked closely i thought it was on the hood

no but you can buy aftermarket base bumpers with the hole

I am sure you realize that the body on all of the Non Z cars are the same. The Z51 Performance Option has nothing to do with the body. As for your question, I believe the answer is no, as the Z06 front is wider then the base model.

If that be the case then no, it won't fit.
Remember ZR1/Z06/GS are wide body cars, the rest aren't.
Put the wide body fenders on & you'd be good to go.

The Z06 front bumper cover will not fit a C6.

The "scoop" on a Z06 is hardly functional as an air intake source, it's mostly blocked off.

FYI, it can be done (made to work) but won't fit quite right. You need the wider fenders to do it right.

Here is a forum member's car who did do just that.

Just buy an aftermarket front fascia that will fit correctly and look the same as the real one.A lot less work.

I actually clicked on this thread because of the title. How does a hood have anything to do with Z51? Z06 is a model. Z51 is just an option, not a model.

Tko makes a great z06 style bumper for the standard c6 give them a call.

The Z06 bumper cover is the same width as the C6 bumper cover. The difference in width is only in the flared fenders of the Z06.

There's a C6, a C6 Z06 and a C6 GS. "Base" model means no options, any of the three C6's listed above can be bought as a base model, no options.
