Every time I climb out of either of mine, I do so with a big grin.

It still thrills me to drive it. But I ride motorcycles a majority of the season, so it doesn't get driven as much a I would like.

I went from a 7 series to a Land Cruiser to my C6. Ever since I totaled my supercharged GT back in the day I have been running through cars and trucks trying to find the right one. Now I found it! I will probably drive my C6 base for a year or so and then get a C6 Z06. Then I think I will truly be satisfied!

Personally I think when you wait a lifetime for something that you long for and FINALLY get it, it NEVER fades. Not even a little....I smile when I think about her....

I am SO glad I am not the only one who does that. I get in and drive nowhere. Or anywhere. I smile when I see it. I smile when I smell it. I sometimes go into the garage if snow is on the ground just to sit in it. My kids could spot a vette on the road from age 3. They still can. And I feel the same way about other vettes when I see them. They make me smile as well. And there is nothing better than driving down the highway with another one next to you.....
I could NEVER imagine this feeling wearing off....NOT EVER. and mine is a daily drive - barring snow and salt which has been next to none this year.

Daily driver, and every day I wonder what i would upgrade too..
I have had a couple of them now, and I cant get away from them.
I sold the last one and had to get one before I freaked out.

Interesting topic.... I got rid of my Trans Am to get the vette... My wife wanted a fun car and for whatever reason, did not ever drive the T/A. She really was the driving force to get the vette as I never really thought at the time to get rid of it (the T/A).. Anyway, bought the vette for her and she really drives it more than I do. When I drive it, I really do not think of it as anything too special, just drive it and enjoy it, a lot like the feeling I had driving the T/A. I do not know about "desensitized", but never thought I was really over the top with the car.

I'll agree thats its not as jaw-droppingly awesome as it was the first year I've owned it. But because I dont drive the car as often as I once did, its always a pretty nice treat for the days I do pull the car cover off. I've been contemplating getting rid of my 11.3 mpg, 13 year old SUV for a while.. and this year might just be the year. With a decent set of all season Michelin's.. I can drive the Vette year round. In everything except a few inches of snow. My C6 should make an excellent daily driver.
The C7 introduction also has some blame to do with my desensitization. The C6 still looks awesome, but the C7 looks so much awesome-er, that I cant help but dream about owning that instead. I still love my C6 to death and plan to keep it atleast another 2 years. I might even paint the halo gloss black & get rid of the chrome wheels, and throw some 19/20" black wheels on, to give my 2007 Velocity Red C6 an updated.. and stealthy.. look.

No. However I researched extensively, especially on this Forum, waited until most of the C6 wrinkles and weaknesses were corrected, and then ordered an '09 2LT MN6 NPP F55 CRM coupe with seven select options that maximized Corvettes greatest attribute, its value. However that was just a starting point, and since its delivery in July '08, I have performed some sixty-seven modifications to transform the car into a competent and well-appointed touring car (with a totally stock engine and power train) that doesn't stray from, but simply enhances the base C6's sexy and beautiful aerodynamic styling without extra vents, scoops, bulges, ultra-wide tires and wheels, nor illegal tints or obnoxious exhaust. These mods have kept the car new to me, and I'm still as delighted with it as the day I took delivery.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
I've only owned my first Vette for a few months but I have noticed that I am somewhat desensitized to owning a Corvette. I guess I've gotten used to it maybe? Sometimes it takes a friend to remind me what I have or I will be driving down the road and get a look from someone and remind myself you are driving a CORVETTE ffs! Does anyone else have this happen to them? I am sure this has happened with other cars in the past but this is the first one I really took notice on.
