That's funny.. It's not that big of a hole. I may close it up and keep the rain off the motor. I'd lose the Z06 scoop first, I love the hood, but I like it like it is, unique.

The owner/builder passed away and his wife sold the car to the lot. I have the receipts, so I can call the shops when I get a chance to see what they know about it. I figured with all the custom work that he would of been a regular on here.

I'll try that.

I figured they just left the idle a little low from the tune, nice to know I'm not alone. I have $15k in receipts, and that's parts, only labor receipt is from paint.

It got an average of 19 MPG on the display for a 400 mile highway trip, I didn't fill it up and do the math. My 99 got 26. I think it has biggger injectors also. I can live with the mileage, but for a cruiser, I may detune and still have a ton of power. My GF's supercharged Mercedes SL55 AMG gets 17 highway, lol.. She didn't know that when she bought it, thought it would be better, and hers is "stock"..

Here's a link to my trade in. Brought a tear to my eye, hope it goes to a good home. Had it 05-13. Never planned to trade it in, because I didn't think the C6 was that much better than a C5, or not worth $20K to upgrade to a stock C6. I really wanted a z06 or zr1, but didn't want to afford it. So, when I found this for $30K, traded the 99 for $10k, financed $20k for $310 a month, figured it was OK.. Loving life for sure.

I like the hood. Car looks nice. I assume that's you in the jeans and brown t shirt. Car looks good. You need a new wardrobe, lol.

Was just out for the day on vacation when I bought it, and that is a Bowling Green Cackle fest shirt.. SO, drag racing and Corvettes home combo all in one shirt.. Thanks, I like the hood too. Lucky you don't see me in the summer, worn out camo shorts and no sleeves cruising it to the parts store..

Got the same color car and wanted to see how the CF looks against the MR. I love the color but it's like a black car when it comes to keeping it clean.

Black is worse for showing everything, but it def is not silver. Silver is the best looks clean color. Love the CF on the Monterey red. I can take any pics you want closer if you want.
Personally, I don't dress up to take my car out, appreciate the comments. I fix broke stuff for a living, so this tan interior isn't that great for me. I loved the black interior on my last car, never saw a grease mark. Tan shows everything..

Had it for a couple months now. The only issue is when you start it, the shifter stays locked, and you have to restart it a few or a bunch of times before you can shift it. Is there an easy fix, or I can unplug the solenoid on the shifter and call it good. Love the car.

my 05 get the same charging system light when im sitting at a redlight. its probably just the tune. mine idles low like that too. ill probably have it retuned and idled a little higher. sometimes when its cold, itll cut off if i dont let it warm up first. and my car also averages 18mpg but if i slow down to 65 or 70, itll get around 21.

A pair of cutting pliers took care of my solenoid.

I like being able to pull it out of park at any time I want. Makes it easy to move around in the garage when needed.

Great looking car! The "problems" you have all seem to be minor. First thing I would do is get that dealer logo off the a$$end. Enjoy!! It's a beauty. BTW, I think you your dressed just fine, you should see me in the summer when I'm relaxed, didn't know we had "fashion police" on the forum

My stock 2006 gets 28 mpg on the highway. Some get above 30 mpg. The mpg seems really low.

Car looks great, though!

You have to have it first before you can take it with you.

I know his name, just trying to find details, or a build thread of the car.

Batteries never gone dead, even after sitting for a couple weeks, so not worried about it. I was doing 80 and got that mileage, or that is the average MPG, never checked it, it's fine.

Had the windows tinted and he took the dealer sticker off the car for me. Bad part is I was dressed good, lol.. I have two types of clothes, with and without grease stains..
