It doesn't go "away" but it does change. You're in the euphoric stage we've all been in (for me with my first vette '94 Coupe and my 1st C5 '99 hard Top). I think the magic came back a little last year because I can't believe I'm actually back in a vette.

it might wane a little (especially when you realize that black is a part-time job) but it's always nice

It will only go away when you sleep, then you get in and feel some boost and all is well again.

It doesn't!!! I'm taking mine out for a drive after 3 months tonight and I am so excited (and I have had my baby for 6 years).

You're trying hard not to show it baby, but baby, baby I know it

You've lost that magic feeling, oh that magic feeling
You've lost that magic feeling, now it's gone, gone, gone

Never

I find it just as thrilling driving my 08 that I did when I bought my brand new 69..

I think it gets old when you start wanting the next gen. Then it starts all over again!

All I can say is life is full of speed bumps, roadblocks, challenges, etc. Great days at work, horrible days at work. On and on and on. When I get behind the wheel of my Callaway, it erases everything. I don't ever leave for work without looking at it. I think about it probably no less than 50 times a day and no, I'm not joking. I love telling my wife as we approach it ......wow, I don't know who owns that car but I wish it was me. Oh, wait a minute, it is me. When we had our new home built my only regret is not building a wide enough door to park it in my living room. And again no, I'm not kidding. I'm pretty heavily involved in first gen Camaros and someone I've met has his 67 RS SS Indy pace car parked in the family room. Now that's my style. Just THINKING about driving it produces a grin. Removing it is an exercise in futility. For me anyway. Enjoy the ride and congrats!

The feeling will be gone the first time you push the start button and nothing happens. It comes back immediately when you get a new battery.

Exactly!
I almost can't resist taking a picture of it every time I walk up to it, and often as I make that turn to look back. My iphone is getting full of corvette pics.

No- that would be the last straw. I might be older but I am still pretty immature for my age...
