Default Cruisin the coast highway

Sorry for all you snowbound drivers but here, it was 60 and sunny! As you can see, the road is literally on the edge of the continent. My karma was good as my V1 saved me twice and seconds after pulling over at that shady U-turn a 370Z vert came around the blind corner right in the middle of the road!

Beautiful pics! I made that drive last year, it was incredible. This is a must do for anyone looking for the ultimate road trip.

Where is this on the 101 if I may ask? I'm going to be moving back to New York from San Diego and I wanted to do an absolutely epic road trip, first north to Seattle / Vancouver, then across the northern part of the continent into Toronto before heading across the lake to Rochester.

It's actually highway 1 not 101, just south of a wide spot in the road called Lucia, south of Big Sur, good cafe there. Nacimiento Rd. heads east from 1 over the coastal mountain range and then through the army post and eventually to 101 near King City which is about 110 miles south of San Jose. I've ridden all of 1 and 101 all the way to Canada a number of times on my bikes and all of California's coast line in the vert. Let me know when you're heading north.

Fantastic Views!! Nothing like a convertible to do a trip like that. Unfortunately, that road is 2500 miles from me. But it may be worth the ride just to ride the Coastal Hwy. Thanks for the pics

Love that road. It's the best. I'll be back up there in June. Big Sur: Treebone Resort and Esalen Institute.
