Welcome and good luck on the repair. Without a doubt the balancer is a weak spot on our cars and GM should be embarrassed that they left this problem continue for so many years.

That's actually a good idea and think it would be appropriate. I know this forum is not a representation of all Corvettes, but the balancer problem seems to come up more than any other and pretty often.

got an 06 have not had ANY problems, since when did anything other then an 05 and a handfull of early 06's have a HB problem and when did GM not address them? C6 experts?

you have a steel ring mounted to another steel ring via molded rubber in between IT IS SUPPOSED TO MOVE! the only reson that the expensive one does'nt move back to front IS THAT IT IS SANDWHICHED INBETWEEN 2 SNAP RINGS PER RACING RULLES so you dont throw the outer ring. I hope you guys NEVER look at it from the front BECAUSE YOU WILL SEE IT RUN IN AN EGG SHAPE THEN WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO!
