Thats a great idea! Almost seems so simple i feal stupid for not thinking of it myself. I will def be stealing your idea.

Screws could also go through, puncture the tank but keep the puncture sealed. I have seen a similar situation where a nail is accidentally shot into a copper water pipe in a wall and then it takes 10 years for the nail to rust enough to allow a leak to begin.

So mine is done...
My radio is now complete. Everything was removed and replaced with Kenwood.

This car is pretty easy to work on the interior.
