Default Last and Final C6 gets built next Thursday 2/28/2013 at 8am

The last C6 is due to be built Feb 28th at 8am...so next Thursday is the end of a great run. I think the C6 has been a great Generation of America's #1 Sports Car!!
The Last C6 will be a 427 Convt 60th Anniversary with the engine built by Tadge and the car will be displayed at the GM Heritage Center! The last Z06 will have the Engine built by Corvette Plant Manager Dave Tatman...and will be raffled off by the Corvette Museum. Please call 301 212 4420 for your Corvette forum price if you are seeking a 2013 Corvette as Criswell has a large inventory to choose from. Must ask for me though to get the preferred Forum pricing.

So can we call the C6 "The Greatest Generation"? Maybe at least only here on the C6 forum?

Mike: Thanks for this info, as it answers a lot of recent posts on C.F. You are always one of the first to acknowledge the correct info coming out of Bowling Green.

So, will the 427 Convertible 60th Anniversary Edition be the last Corvette C6 built? You stated the other day......or was it Talon 90......that the last 427 Convertible 60th Anniversary Edition would be shipped off to The G.M. Heritage Museum. And as I understand it, you happen to be one of the few people outside G.M. that have had unresticted access to many of those 1000 G.M. cars warehoused in that facility.

I was wondering if this is going to the GM Museum, or was it a customer ordered car and what model is it. I remember that the last mid to come off the line was a 427 '67.

Mike you seem to be in the know, maybe you have an answer.

It would be neat if they made and posted a video of "The Last C6" going down the line, much like was done with the last C4.

That video would be a great segment for Ultimate Factories on National Geographic/Discovery channels.

It has been a very long run for the c6 indeed. To long for this business; But it's been a great VETTE and will continue to be. I'm not a fan of the C7 at all so it's C6 all the way until the C8 for me..are they sending the last one to the MUSEUM?

HOXXOH "Tom":

Rumor has it you are a cole slaw aficionado......But not so much with pulled pork sandwiches!

Sorry I missed you at The Rock Springs Driveout in Black Canyon City, Arizona last weekend. However, it looks like I will be in attendance at our Prescott Vette Sette Corvette Club event at the Black Canyon City Parade on Saturday, April 6th. It is still in the works, and if it happens, they will be limiting the Corvette car count to 25 this time. The last time we attended this parade, Black Canyon City got overwhelmed with over 50 Corvettes! There were more Corvettes in this Parade than the entire population of Black Canyon City!!!

When I see all those Vettes neatly parked that old song's lyics come to mind..." If I had a Million dollars." I sure wouldn't buy a "K" car!

Yes I am sure the Maserati reps will be a bit bugged out by this...I am hoping some Maserati customers will come my way after seeing them side by side!

I think you need to say this one more time Mike. Three times is not enough.
Thanks for the info. It will be an unbelievable day at the factory I'm sure. Would love to be there.

Now to start "upgrading" my C6 to be better than the C7.
