Default Does anyone have experience with these badges?

I would like to install these badges, in the same location that Chevy uses for the "427" emblem you see in the photo I picked out of a brochure.

My concern is how well they'll hold up directly exposed to the sun???

The colors are beautiful, but if they are going to fade, and require replacement every 6 months, then I'll use them on the fenders. I'd really prefer the hood, but won't bother, if fading is an issue.

Thanks in advance....Ham

Don't know the answer your question. I just want to warn you that there will be those who make fun of and ridicule you for having the audacity to even consider adding what you want to your car. They are the keepers of ABSOLUTE OBJECTIVE TASTE AND TRUTH.

I used those under the hood for informing novices what they were viewing, however I wouldn't want them on my hood exterior.

My concern is that you'll be removing the ones on your hood and they're on TAPE, not paint. So if you remove them with even one slip up, you're going to rip or ruin the tape and then you're screwed. But it's your car, do what you want. Who am I to judge.

His is an LS3. The 427 just shown as example.

Those may be too tall to fit properly on the hood.

Save them and put them on a vehicle that runs DUBs

There are none on my hood, and my car is Blade Silver, that is just a photo to show you where I am thinking of using these badges.

Correct!

They are only 1" high and 5" long, they're just the right size, although they look much larger in the photo.

If you are going to put a badge on the hood, I think something more subtle and less colorful, would look better.

$.02.

436 hp? What's the point of putting on base HP rating? "Supercharger" badge and now you making a statement

They both simply accurately state a fact about a car. Who cares? Why do they care?

Decals will look tacky and out of place on your hood. Raised billet aluminium lettering on the other hand would look great.

West Coast Corvettes along with others I'm sure carry really nice lettering like the above pix. Pretty sure they do custom lettering also.
