I currently have Bridgestones on my Grand Sport. I have 20,000 miles on them and probably can get another 10,000 miles on them easily. They are a very good tire. I like the Goodyears on my '02 Z06 and my '09 coupe with Z51, but the aggressive aligment on the GS was not kind to the GYers. I got 20,000 miles out of the GYers on my Z and my '09 and really liked the tire. I will put another set of Bridgestones on my GS.

Michelins, Over rated, Over priced. My only experince was back with my 98/C5. I hated the fact of putting a Japanese tire on my American car, But the guy at TFT told me try the Toyo T1Rs, if i didn't like them, he would buy them back. So WTH at a price of almost 2 for 1 over Michelins i went for it. That afternoon i drove to work in a down pour. I was hitting puddles in the fast lane that would of ripped the wheel right out of your hand. I was sold to the point that my 2nd C5 an 01/Z06 came with Michelins all around. I took them off and sold them, and replaced them with Toyos. Just my opinion, but at a price of 2 to 1 If you decide to throw a smoke once in a while, it doesn't hurt so bad.

GM finally woke-up and decided to go with Michelin's on the C7. The Goodyear's were killing the reputation of the Corvette, plain and simple. Another case of incompetent purchasing, the underlying cause of virtually every complaint against the C6. They go with the cheapest even when it causes sizeable customer dissatisfaction and heavy warranty expenses. Of course this wouldn't be allowed under any form of competent management, of which GM is totally lacking.

Just put on Michelin Pilot Sport run flats, that replaced the Goodyears. First thing I noticed was they were quieter and a much smoother ride.Don't know what to expect as far as miles, since I only have 130 miles on them.
The more I read this forum, the more I hear such a difference of opinions. I have never had good tire wear with GY's. I had a half ton Chev,pick-up,that came with the GY's and only got 40,000 on them. Switched to Michelins and were on the truck when I traded it in,but had 104,000 on them and looked like I could have gotten another 25,000.
Then my next truck was a HD 3/4 ton with the 8.1 motor, drove to Alaska and back(AZ) and by then had 20,000 on the GY's,bought Michelins, which are still on the truck, but have 150,000 miles. But of course, the reason why the high mileage,I rotate every 5000. So,with roughly 130,000 on them,I would say they're a pretty decent tire. Hopefully,I'll get better than the stock GY's that came with my GS.

Firestone run flats. I had Firestones on my C4 also, and ran great!
