No drop in MPG here...if anything just the opposite. These tires have a harder compound and less friction than most performance tires. They are very quite tires and if maintained properly will go a long ways.

The trade off of course is they are not as sticky as a tire made from a softer compound. Not a good choice if you track your car, but if your looking for the best highway tire this is it.

OP, I recommend either those or the Michelin PS2 ZPs.

You're in south FL--you may not need the all-seasons ?
I highly recommend all seasons for the base vette in south Florida, if you want really good predicable traction for the hard rains we get here. As well as hot, cooler temps too.

They are a very predicable tire, and if you really do push them to the limit, they don't just break loose, they will whine plenty loud enough to let you know they are trying to slide.

I went from Goodyears to the Michelin AS ZP tires on my 2008 C6, and loved them.

I want to thank everyone for their input. I did cancel the install of the Goodyears this morning and will install the Michelins along with new TPMS senders. I never considered tread ware and the best info I could get on the GY's was 300 vs 500 with the Michelins, that's a big difference. I will have the Michelin equal to the factory Goodyears (P245/40ZR18) unless someone thinks that's a bad choice, please excuse my ignorance on the subject. I like the security of the run flats. I hit a piece of metal on the road last year around midnight and the run flats got me home.

At 73 this is my "bucket list" car and love it. I drive it only in south Fl, never in the rain and it will never see snow. To say I never exceed the speed limit would be, well you know. Thanks again.

Good choice and enjoy that beautiful Florida winter while the rest of us stare longingly at our snowed in vettes.

Default Michelins, please don't even think about it.

Made the switch last year. Better handling, ride and less noise. Oh, did I mention a lot less noise?

AORoads said it pretty well.

After wearing out 2 1/2 sets of Goodyear Z51 Supercar tires, I switched to the Michelin PS2 ZP (runflat). The Supercars aren't bad when new, but they seem to get stiff/noisy/slippery, with lots of tread still remaining. Our PS2's are down to about 4/32" tread and still very nice. Cheaper, too; last time I looked.

We have a spare set of wheels/sensors with the Michelin A/S runflats, also a very good tire but oriented more toward cold and some snow. But still a good touring tire if you don't need maximum summer grip.

Every tire is a compromise...

Ordered 4 Pilot Sport ultra high performance A/S plus ZP today at Costco. Looking forward to having them installed the end of the week and think the $1,307.00 out the door price is fair. I'll let all know what I think and am especially looking forward to a quieter ride. Thanks everyone for you guidance with this.

I have the same tire and LOVE them, major improvement over the G/Y's.....make sure they use pucks to jack up the car and torque the lugs to 100 ft. lbs......unless you have anti seize on the studs, then 80 ft. lbs.

Default Michalins by far

A year and half ago i bought a complete set of Michalins runflats, replacing the Goodyear runflats, I was amazed at the handling and the reduction in noise they made, I just traded my 99 in for a new Grand Sport convertible, it has googyears on it, the handling aspect is great but i am back to alot of road noise. I know what my next set will be.

Had the Michelins installed today and the difference is enormous. What I thought was a possible rear end noise, like a rumbling sound, is no more. The noise level with the new tires is much less than the GY's. With all due respect to Goodyear the tires I had were worn, fronts all but bald and the rears with maybe 5K left. I'm sure any new tire would make a difference with road noise but I didn't expect this much difference. Thanks again for all the guidance from the folks on this forum. The only thing I have to worry about now is falling asleep at the wheel with all this quiet.

I totally agree with this assessment of the Michelins.
