This is a new option available on the All-in-1 bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit that I have been selling for the last year. Works on all C6's 2005-2013.

. Whatever position your butterflies are in when you turn the car off, is the position they return to when you start the car again. This system is 100% Zero Battery drain!

Using a special non-volatile memory, I have created a system that is powered off when the car is off so that there is no battery drain at all, yet it retains its memory so it comes back to life exactly as it

Typical install time is around 1 or 2 hours.

NO holes need to be drilled in your car when you mount the solenoid box outside of the car, and everything could be removed without a trace if you wanted to.

Quick install summary:

1: The engine vacuum tap used is the correct GM bi-mode vacuum port on the back of the
intake manifold, just like the 2008-20012 NPP C6, Z06 and ZR1's use. Not the brake booster or other critical
engine sensor systems. Do it right just like the GM factory does it. The GM engineers that designed the bi-mode exhaust system know the most reliable way to tap vacuum for the system is at the rear intake vacuum port.
The vacuum line is run above the tunnel plate from the engine to the
vacuum solenoid unit and then you hook up the vacuum lines to the butterfly valves on the mufflers.

2: The solenoid box is mounted outside the cabin requiring NO HOLES need to be drilled to install the system.

3: The power cable is run easily from the passenger foot well area to the rear of the car by tucking it underneath the trim panels.

4: Once everything is hooked up, Start the car and enjoy your fully operational bi-mode exhaust system!

I have a question. My Vette is an '05 with factory exhaust, which means no sound at all

How does this kit make my exhaust loud, or when you say it works on an '05 are you meaning with aftermarket exhaust?

Also, do you know of any installer in the St. Louis area who would install this? Thank you.

Thanks for the question!

Since your car is a 2005 like our shop car, and didn't come from the factory with bi-mode exhaust, you will need to add the bi-mode mufflers.

Then you can use our Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit to control them.

The Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit includes all the vacuum lines, wiring, vacuum solenoid, and of course the Exhaust Commander Elite controller.

So you would need the bi-mode mufflers, and our Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit, then you would have a fully functioning bi-mode exhaust!

My 08 has NPP but can I have the same control i.e. always open, always closed, or RPM? Bottom line I don't need to retofit just want full control.

Since your car is a factory NPP car you don't need a retrofit kit, just the controller.

After researching all the exhaust controllers I decided on the Exhaust Commander Elite. I liked the way it works and the control over the Valve opening and closing points. It's a very well thought out product. I received my Exhaust Commander Elite last Monday and installed it right after work that night. It was a super easy install and it worked exactaly like they said it would. Great product and excellent customer service! Thanks Ben.

This is pretty incredible. I love stealth mods like this. I guess it is too much to ask to be able to control it with the buttons that control other functions on the DIC.

We have a unit that is controlled by the dash DIC reset button. It is called Exhaust Commander D.A.S.H.
It doesn't have all the features of the Exhaust Commander Elite though. It is an on / off switch without the rpm mode and the other cool features that Exhaust Commander Elite has.

We picked the lock button because it enables you to control the exhaust inside the car with the door panel lock button. And outside te car you can control the exhaust with you cars keyfob.

I noticed that the control for the FOB follows the same key strokes as the window valet...

Do they interfere with each other?

Exhaust Commander Elite and window valet can be used together.

You will need the additional splitter cable we sell so that they can both be plugged into the obd port at te same time.

I meant that somehow the product would add menu items to the DIC and you could use various buttons to enable features as if GM made the commander.
I like the ability to specify rpm ranges. I don't have an NPP but might get one and will almost surely buy the commander elite.
