Any G/S with the F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control option will outperform any G/S without it, that is why it is standard equipment on the ZR1, the 427 Convertible, the ZL1 Camaro and virtually every other super-car on the road today. It provides a flatter, more responsive, more controlled and precise ride, period.

Go for the car with the body colored roof. Tell ya why: you can always pick up the clear tinted roof from a vendor to this forum shipped to you for under $1K. Then you have 2 roofs that you can change out according to the season, your mood or your needs. Unless you're extremely lucky, it will be difficult to find and match an inferno orange roof and a lot more expensive than $1K as well.

Seems like you've gotten some seriously mixed results here!
I would say number 1 because it's "newer" and you probably wouldn't notice the F55 anyway
But I drive a base coupe so WTF do I know???

Go for the 3LT. It has less mileage. Also if you will most likely have a very difficult time getting a painted top in inferno orange. The clear top in nice but not one you will always want to use.

I'd go with choice #1. I have F55 in my 427 and I also have an 06 with Z51. I don't feel any difference in day to day driving. On the track it might be a different story. The only issue I would have with car 1 is if it was used a test drive car. Check the front air dam for scuffs and the rocker panels and wheels for the same.

"In honor of jpee"
the MSRC (F55) is a very nice feature...good to have tour/sport flexibility IMO.
But, 19K less miles on the other car, for the same price, makes it a difficult decision.
Maybe the dealer will put new tires on the car with 19K miles. Suggest not getting
another set of the GYs, b-t-w...(go for Michelin PS2 ZPs).

Don't ask me why as to my rationale. I just did stream of thought process and came up with that.
But I can be persuaded either way because 19K miles is nothing if it really is well taken care of (I'd have an indie shop put it up, both of them actually, on a lift and give you an assessment) and the 4LT makes up for a lot imo. Then, too, that 100+ miles car makes a lot of sense, too.

The 3LT package is fine and has everything I want. I have upgraded seating and dash. I guess it comes with 2 tone color seats mine are red and gray with corvette symbols on the seats. They seem to be upgraded seats better than a a normal base corvette.

The plot thickens....
Car #2, the 4LT w/F55... offered to me for $50k as is..(ie. no new tires)
And... the dealer-quoted price of $698 for a solid top.... has now gone to $990, PLUS $700 to paint it!!!
Oh what to do, what to do....?

Go with Car #1. Less hassles to deal with and if you want a clear top they are fairly easy to find. You're basically getting a new car........

Well, I can't see why this is such a tough dilema. My very strong vote is for the new car which has new tires also. Go for it and never second guess yourself after the fact.

You're absolutely right... I have bought and sold over 70 cars in the 40 years since I turned 16, so I tend to analyze these things TO DEATH!!!

Mako, they are out there. I found a 2011 gs coupe 10300 miles. They were asking 51,900. It had been there a while. I looked at it 3 or 4 times. they knew I was Interested. It's a 4 lt also. I bought it for 47,000 out the door. They will deal especially if they have had it for a while. Good luck!!!
