Lower mileage means you are in charge of almost 100% of the driving of the car, which may be worth some peace of mind if you're anything like me. Plus the value of the new car smell can't be quantified in dollar amounts. Embroidery can probably be done, and from what I undeestand, the magnetic ride isn't all that impressive. Just my honest opinion.

I think the folks in this thread beg-to-differ, re: MSRC.
I do agree with them. MY ZR1 rides like it's on rails, especially at high speed...

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. My experience with the selective ride is limited but my pal with the package on his z06 couldn't tell much of a difference when he took my car with Z51 out for a spin. Perhaps it has to do with the quality of the roads here. Let's just say they're not in great condition.

that's fine...
I had an '09 coupe w/Z51 (no MSRC), and I can say that its ride quality was very good, but there is a world
of difference compared to the MSRC on my current car. The ZR does have better tires, though, and that may
be somewhat of a contributing factor.
FWIW, I owned the new '09 for 16 months and 4K mi's, on factory GY Gen:1s. I've had the new ZR for two yrs
and 7K mi's on factory Michelin PS2 ZPs.

I think we can both agree that as far as maintaining value, the lower the mileage, the better. Then again, most of us buy our cars to drive, not to preserve.

I am amazed that #2 has 19k on the tires and it still sells as GM certified. I thought there was a minimum tread requirement. My tires were shot at 12K. No complaints though, they were 12k really fun miles. Getting rid of the goodyears was like getting a whole new car again. I could not believe how bad they were once they were gone.
I say go #2 and start off right with a good set of tires. (Not goodyear)

I'd go for number 1. I'm not fond of the painted top and black badges but it's new. I had the MSRC on my 2003 and it didn't do much for me, and if you think tires are expensive, replace those shocks. Get number 1.

car 1 without question..... i'm just curious why the dealer titled it and only put 146 miles on it... did you get the history even though it only has 146 miles? I would just make sure they didn't do damage and now want to get rid of it. (i doubt it but you never know)

The 4LT option (and F55) is well WORTH the trade off in mileage. So IMHO the only real difference is tire life - but that's significant at $1500-2000 for all four wheels.
Honestly, BOTH sellers will be negotiable; but the tire wear is an easy tactic for #2. I would preference the #2 car for a daily driver as the 4LT and F55 are very nice upgrades, with the expectation that you can negotiate down $3K to cover your time, the mileage, the market and the tires.
If you think that you might be reselling the car for ANY reason in the next 2-3 years, or you think really low miles is a good thing - then I would veer towards the low mile car (again, negotiating down and using car #2 as leverage for a better price).

Car #1 if you are buying a Sports car to drive it like a Sports Car Magnetic Suspension isn't needed. Tires are around $2000 for new on second car. Color matched roof is a plus as many in the south get rid of like new glass tops for 500-700. Good luck as is often said it is good to be in a position to make a choice. I would also use the bargaining chip that 2014 already released, the market is going to be flooded with late model trade ins from those that just have to have the latest greatest.... and this is not exactly the buying season for Corvettes in most places. Usually the dealers are more motivated to selling in slow times.

F55 on a GS is the ultimate suspension for a Corvette. Most informed folks understand the F55 is not a "marshmallow" conversion that makes a Corvette ride softly. I wanted both the Z51 and F55 when I got my car but unfortunately that combination wasn't available until 2011 after the GS had been out a while. BTW, IO is the optimal color on a GS or Z06 - they were made for each other!

IMO you can't go wrong with either one. Flip a coin.

Car #1. Its brand new. Seats probably haven't even been farted in yet. Plus the black GS badges look great. Love that color, can't wait to see more pics of the one you choose.
