Default Motor-Country of origion.

My 2011 coupe with 6 sp had motor country of origion as United States.
My 2013 Grand Sport 6 sp that I traded in for my 2011 has motor country of origion Mexico. Is the dry sump motors only made in Mexico or are all LS3 motors now made in Mexico.

LS3 dry sump engines are built in the Wixom, Michigan plant.

No motors (LS3) are assembled in mexico. The part content on the sticker has to do with percentage of parts made in Mexico, NAFTA, taxes involved with moving things across the borders, and such. I don't understand it all, but that's what I have been told by a reliable source.

Wixom doesn't "build" anything, they assemble parts built someplace else. Evidently a big percentage of LS3 parts (block casting?) are built in Mexico.
