if you dont have any old fobs that will currently start the car, but only new fob(s) that have not yet been programmed, then do steps 1 ,2,3, then as instructions say, start at step 9

fyi.... if you have NO key that fits in the trunk, you are stuck. you must have a working key that fits in the trunk as step 1 , if you have no working key, a dealership must make it and you will have to show some proof before they will.

note: you are sort of confusing me. your said you got a new key and a new remote. your asking how to activate the key? do you want to know how to program the fob to the car or do you want to know how to have the key made to fit the trunk?

Two things, and I'm trying to be helpful here.

First, try to use a better title for your question like "How to program a fob?" or something like that. People won't know the problem if you just put "Help" for a thread title.

Second, try to use better spelling, English, and grammar. It is very difficult to understand your first post. After you write it, go back and read it again to make sure it clearly expresses your question. I have read it twice and I am not sure what you want.

I am not trying to be mean; I am trying to help you.

Is the key for the trunk cut to fit your lock or is it just a blank?

Do you still have an original working fob or just the new fob?

He was trying to help you. I had trouble understanding your question also. If english is not your first language, you can tell us that in your post and people will be very understanding about it here. We have had many people who speak other languages or live in other countries get good help on this forum, but we need to be told.
I wrote these instructions to program fobs.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...tructions.html
If your metal key fits the trunk lock, then you should be able to program the new fob that you have. Read the instructions through before getting started. I would suggest starting with the short procedure so that you will have a fob that starts the car, then eventually you will have to do the long procedure to get things working correctly.

When the OP bought his '09 C6, I bet the dealer only gave him one fob&key. And he lost it.

So there's no way for him to program a new fob. And no way to drive the car.

A dealer can program a new fob. But I doubt your dealer makes house calls, so I don't know any alternative to a flat-bed tow.

Sure, nobody is perfect, but I could not understand what you were saying. You are not sending a text message, you are posting on a forum.
