Great experience at Mid-America Motorworks today.
I've always had great service from them and have been to the last two Funfests they've had. A good friend of mine finally traded in his Camaro for a C7 about a month ago so we drove the 130 miles to Mid-America today.
When we were driving out from the store a beautiful Gray Grand Sport was pulling in. I rolled my window down to give him a thumbs up. I saw his window come down and he stopped and I noticed it was Mike Yeager. I said "Oh, didn't realize you're Mr. Yeager" and he said "Mike". I told him I wasn't used to seeing him in a Vette as he's always in a golf cart at the show. He struck up a conversation and thanked me for coming.
I told him that my friend behind me just got his C7 and wanted to come here to buy some things and that it was his first Corvette. He drove up to him close and reached his hand out to shake hands, thanked him for coming and asked how he liked the car and some other small talk and then said to please come back soon.
Now, that's not only a good businessman but a gentleman in the first degree. He made a customer, and friend for life. Talk about an ear to ear perma-grin you should have seen my friend. Very pleased we drove up there.
BTW, after driving about four hours in front of and behind the C7, a car I've been drooling over and wanting so bad I have to say, I truly believe now that the C6 is every bit as beautiful or more beautiful on the outside as the C7. I was loving the back end of the C7 until now. It did nothing for me in person but the interior is to die for.
Taken at Mid-America Motorworks old time gas station.
On the way.

No, didn't look. Is it at his house or the business? I would have no idea where he lived but I know one thing. If I had his money I don't think I'd be living in Effingham, Illinois.

I wish I would of known you were there. I would of asked to to ask them where my sway bars are they have been promising me for 3 months.
Not so happy about them.

Well I would have, but seriously...Do you think they're happy they can't supply them and doing this to you on purpose? I'll bet they were promised them too by the supplier and are just as ticked (or more so) than you are. I'd have asked for my money back long ago and got them somewhere else though. Now if they won't give you your money back I'd be real unhappy.

RickMG, nice photos and story. Thanks for sharing. I live an hour away from Effingham and enjoy going to the annual VetteFests and visiting MidAmerica Motorworks store and museum. I hear nothing but good things about Mike Yeager locally.
BTW, I bought my daily driver, a 2013 Subaru Outback, from a dealership in Ballwin. I get to the big city (St Louis) a few times a year. There is not much out here in rural sourthern, IL.
