Default ls2 fast 90mm vs ported stocker

is the fast 92mm that much better than a ported stock intake mani or what? also, is the fast 92mm a straight bolt on or are modifications needed to install it?
i'm looking to install 1 3/4 headers and maybe the fast or have the stocker ported.

I'm not familiar with the 90mm Fast intake for an LS2. I know the Fast 92mm and 102mm intake will fit and make more power than the stock ported intake, but not sure by how much. Some vendors on here can do amazing things to open up the stock intake. If you do a search, you may find some reported numbers and vendors. The 92mm intake require modifications on the rear in order to fit. The 102mm intake is a direct bolt on. Hopefully this helps.

No worries; I think the Fast is a great intake mod to add with headers. I'm stuck between the Fast 102mm intake route or changing to an LS3 Heads/intake setup. Good Luck with your setup.

the ported Fast 102 and headers will make more than twice the rwhp of the LS3 heads and intake.I picked up 65 rwhp with mine.the LS3 heads intake make 20 rwhp according to some vendor engine builders on the forum.check RPM Motors Inc. threads on the subject.much cheaper and less work to stay with the LS2 setup.

On my 05 manual 6, I made 349 with a Vararam and axle back. I added headers and a fast 102 (unported) and put down 403. Fast 102 is a great mod as the stock ls2 intake is really restrictive.

In terms of bang for the buck, having us Radical port your stock intake manifold is the way to go. The Radical ported stock intake manifold performs about the same as the unported FAST 102 on a stock LS2 engine (generally 19 rwhp gain).

However, if we port the FAST 102, you will get even bigger gains (generally 30 rwhp on stock LS2 engine).

For more info on Radical porting, you can go to:

Peak Speed Shop's primary business is porting intake manifolds and throttle bodies. We have a good reputation for high quality work as a Supporting Vendor on this forum.

i consistantly see guys gaining 20 or so hp at the wheels by swapping to fast102 manifold on LS2. ported stock manifolds range from power lost to claims of 15 to 20, all depends on who ports it.
