iPhone connection?
Just got my 2008 today and have the Nav system. Is there no way to plug in an Aux cord, or am I missing something?

Le Mans Master
but there are several options
The best is an ISIMPLE , it will allow you to control your iPhone with your radio and you and you can add a blue tooth interface to it .
The cheapest route is do a Google search for "Ray Kawel" , he sells a AUX harness you can install
Others will tell you get rid of the factory NAV ... it's not bad at all and for 200 dollars you can add the I simple.
A new radio will cost you a lot more than that.....

ISimple ISGM655 is around $100, and comes with a usb plug in port, aux port, as well as built in blue tooth as well.
It has a connector that will connect between the radio connect and the radio, and works off the extra XM band it produces on the radio.
You just tuck the module begin the radio to install it.

In 2009, the VCIM got blue tooth, that you channel into the nav radio that way via blue tooth, and it was not until 2011 that the Nav radio got the USB and aux input isntead (on the back of the center console).
So if you have XM, you can interrupt the XM audio signal to speaker jack in that way with a $50 harness from the ipod, but you can not control the ipod through the radio instead.

So with the ISimple ISGM655, you gain not only a aux jack, a working charging USB jack that you can control the Ipod through the radio, but can leave the Ipod or Phone in your pocket to blue tooth into the radio instead (and be able to control the radio through the radio/steering wheel controls while it in your pocket as well).
To be blunt, the GM Pal was good when it first came out, but with the ISimple ISGM655 having blue tooth as well, and only around $100, is now the better option instead.
$119 with free shipping from amazon.

Or around the same price from walmart instead.
