Road Trip Breakdowns

A C6 with 22K and you are worried about breakdowns? I realize it could happen, but it's a Chevy. Mybe I'm just lucky but I've never had a stranding failure with any of the many GM cars I've owned or driven, many with over 100k miles.
Aside from the rare and unpredictible, just drive it and don't worry.

Take the Vette. At 56K, I take mine everywhere and I can tell you I have been in some very desolate places and never even give it a second thought. These cars are very, very dependable.
Just a few places I have been with mine and note not a soul around.
Death Valley
Central California - Carrizo Plain
High Desert in March
Mt Shasta in December
Death Valley
Sierra in the Fall

Howdy, Bob!
I have no worries taking the C6 on 6,500+ mile trips. Long Island to Glacier National Park and beyond. No problems.
Trip details:

And here's a post just reviewing the tools and stuff I carry in the rear stowage compartments for emergencies:

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the replies, MANY good points brought out and although not totally decided, I'm now leaning towards taking the Vette and making the trip that much more enjoyable.

Take the Vette!! The car isnt fragile!
Back in the mid 80's I used to work in Yellowstone each summer for a couple of years. I would drive my 1972 TR6 from So Cal to Yellowstone and back home after the summer. Over 2K in miles round trip. So ya, the Vette is WAY more reliable.
Enjoy!
