What year is it?
This guy who goes to our local pub was telling everybody he bought a new C6 roadster <vert> with 3,600 miles.
I started asking him some questions, THEN he told me it was a '09.
A few weeks later he brought it to the pub, and he has 2 oval looking
fobs with separate keys.
I looked at the exterior and interior, but would love to see the engine.
I didn't want to ask him to go out and open the hood and I don't think he would.
How can I tell what year it is by the exterior and interior, it's parked there most days.
I don't want to confront him, or embarrass him, just want to know if he's bullcraping us.

10th digit in the VIN represents the year. If it's a "5", the vehicle is a 2005 and so on until 2010 when letters were used. "A" being 2010, "B" being 2011 etc...

The new style key fobs with integrated key came out in 08. I think you can program the new fob to work on an 07 but the key is different. You had to change the locks I believe. ..

OP keep us up to date on what you find out. The only real way to know is the VIN. Wheels, Fobs, Console can all be swapped out easily.
