I have a feeling this is where I'm going to end up. I'll top off my tank tomorrow, and then use the ol' paper n' pencil method at the next fill up.

I get 13-14mpg in town, hand calculated. 3500 miles now and it hasnt really changed, the DIC sits on 14.5 avg.

Its fairly rural driving here, but getting onto 55mph streets with no stop lights/signs and a lot of hills/traffic is rough on mileage..

13-14 in town, lots of stop and go driving. 26-29 on the highway.

I have a 2013 GS also. I get about 16-17 city, and 22-23 on the interstate. I do some track days, so this would be easy miles on the street. At the track I get 5mpg. I don't remember it changing once it was broke in, I drove about 1500 miles for braek-in.

Congratulations on the new car! I love mine all except for the horrible seat, but I will fix this soon.

08 Z51 stick. By the end of a tank I show about 18.2. Calculated value is about 17.9. I normally shift at just under 2k rpms and cruise in 5th where the speed limit is 40 or above. Car is decagged, which helps driving like this.

Just wanted to jump in again, to thank every one for their input.

I just filled my tank this afternoon. I reset the trip odometer, and the "Average MPG" to "0".

I'll calculate my mileage the old fashioned way, and then compare it to the DIC, and report back here with my findings.

Cruising around town easy in 3rd or 4th gear 30- 45 mph I typically get around 18-19. What you're getting is unacceptable. Either the computer is giving you some highly inaccurate figures or its out of tune.

I have my car 11' GS for two years now. I got 22 mpg on the mix drive. I remember when I broke in my car for the first 500 miles. I got about 17 mpg in suburb area. I am sure you will get better mpg soon.

I get around 18 in what I consider city driving. OP, how long are you sitting in traffic, I guess a good metric would be your average speed. My daily commute is about 33 mph average.

I do city/stop and go and Bay Area highway in rush hour driving 90% of the time...I get about 17mpg. With the 10% coming on the highway i would assume my city mpg is around 15-16mpg. I have an 08 M6 NB Coupe

I seem to be getting close to 25mpg average out of mine. I don't do a ton of city driving but i do sit in stop and go stuff to and from work almost daily.

Shoulda drove it like you stole it right away for the 1st 1K miles, I did.
I didn't beat the snot out of it, but drove it hard right away like my tuner & quite a few others with C6's suggested.

My 1st tank in my 13 coupe was 12 mpg, my 2nd 16, & now I average 18, all around town, & I don't baby it, but don't drive it hard like I did when I 1st bought it either.

The only highway long trip I've taken netted me 30 at 75 mph, & that was with 2200 miles on the clock.

Gas Mileage? Really? Is that something one worries about in a Corvette?

Once again, I thank you all....you're giving me valuable data, from which I can extrapolate averages, and see If I'm in the ball park.

To PO234,...That's a good point. My average speed was 23 mph before I reset. That's why I was only interested in stop n' go local in town driving.

My '13 GS Convertible now has 200 miles on it. DIC says 11.9 avg. Most of it is city driving. The first 50 miles were single digit mpg
