C6 Exterior Looks Better Than C7?

Seriously.
As much as I respect opinions like that of the OP, it just ends-up sounding like you're trying to convince yourself of something.
Thing is, this endless argument comes-up with every single new iteration of any car.
The traditionalists hate it, blah, blah.
The young "hip, yo" dudes love it no matter what, blah, blah.
Fact is, we'll eventually fall into one of two groups:
A) It'll grow on you and you'll buy it.
B) You'll never like it.

IMHO my 93 C4 was the most beautiful. I would have parked n the living room if I could. Torch Red, it always drew comments at every fill up. C5 came along and everyone bashed the fat rear end and cat eye tail lights. Got a 2001 Blue vert and never got a second look. But the power and performance blew me away. Just traded for. 2011 Torch Red Coupe. Thought the C5 had a more interesting interior look, but the clean lines of the C6 inside and out will make it a timeless beauty. And the performance is all I can handle and more. Guarantee the C7 will make all prior generation owners proud of the brand and there will be a huge love affair with this car as we start to see many hit the road in all the shapes and colors. The "WOW" factor will be great. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Time will tell.
The C6 is good looking in its own right, and people that buy them will be justifiably proud to own them. I think C6 resale is going to hold up pretty well.

IMO, the C7 depends on the color...the red is butt ugly, makes the car look like a bad attempt at a ricer...the Cyber Gray, on the other hand, is drop dead georgeous on that car from any angle. There is a good chance that at some point, there will be a CG C7 parked right next to my JSB C6.

I really like the C7 in this picture. Great color for it and the HRE wheels are killer. Admittedly this is one of the best angles for a C7 - some others are, to me, not so flattering.
That being said, my wide body C6's are still gorgeous to me - and judging by all the head turning - to the general public too.
I might be a C7 owner after they work the bugs out, but like MLCRookie, I was not overwhelmed with the red one. Also don't like the black wheels that were on it.

Totally disagree with you here. I think all of us Corvette lovers can appreciate GM's advancement in technology here with the C7. I for one love all the performance enhancements they made, and I applaud GM for designing a really nice interior for the car. But I want both a nice exterior and performance. The C6 had both, the C7 does not. The C6 with a normal interior was never a deal breaker for us Corvette lovers. We loved the exterior style and the performance was un real for the money. The C7 is different. We love the performance they claim, we like the interior now, and we like most of the exterior. But the rear is ugly, and this is a dramatic change, which is hard to get past. For a $55-60K C7 Corvette, you should love the exterior look of ALL of it. Not just have to let it grow on you. I really wanted to love the C7, but there is nothing getting past that ugly rear.

I can't wait to have both cars in my garage! Both IMO are awesome looking Corvettes but when the Z06 model debuts thats when I'm putting in my deposit!

I like the look of the C6 as well as the C7.
Unlike many here on the C6 forum, I don't feel threatened by the C7 and therefore feel the need to start threads on how their C6 is superior to it in some aspect.
No matter how good/bad the C7 is, it doesn't change the way I feel about my car.

The Trouble With the Rear-End
Here is why I think most people don't like the back end of the C7.
The bottom of half of the rear end will likely be made of the same dark gray plastic that is called the Exhaust Diffuser on a C6. On any color car besides Cyber Gray, it looks cheap. As you can see in this picture it doesn't look too bad. If we could see a picture of the same Cyber Gray C7 with HRE wheels shows earlier in this post from same angle as this photo I'm posting, I bet most would say they like it better than a Red or White or Blue C7. One of the first mods to the C7 I bet we'll see is one of the same mods we saw on the C6. A painted rear diffuser. One of the things I liked about the C5 is the fact that the entire rear end is color matched without any cheap plastic pieces. Hopefully a GS,ZO6,ZR1 option will be to have this piece color matched from the factory or maybe get it in Carbon Fiber to tie the roof panel in to the overall design.
Just My Opinion.

i'm keeping my z, the new car looks OK, but not my cup of tea.
i did have some serious issues with the c5, but the c6 is light years ahead of it and i see no reason to upgrade to c7
