Having seen the C&, who is glad they didn't buy a 2013 in the last few months?
as much as I'd like to get a 2013 Z06, that would require selling my 2007 Z51 which has been a great car, it is going to be tough waiting 2-3 years to get a C7, but I think in the end I'll be glad I didn't buy 2013
I love my C6 and have every intention on keeping it for a long time, but i admit it will be tempting to go look at the C7 when it hits the showrooms later on this year. Same thing happened to me in 2004 when i bought my C5, later that year the C6 came out and i was interested but did nothing until 2009.
Not me. I'm glad to have my 427. Who knows how many years it's going to be ......if ever.....till they come up with something comparable in the C7. Government puts more regulations on the car industry daily. I feel lucky to have what I think is one of the best Vettes ever built.
I've been lusting deeply for a 427 Convertible ever since it was introduced. It only got worse after I had the opportunity to get up close to them at last year's museum bash. As many here know, I'd have done practically anything (including selling a kidney) to be able to order one in Supersonic Blue. Unfortunately, it just wasn't in the cards and I've been moping ever since. I have to admit, now that we've seen the C7 the pain of not owning a 427 has lessened somewhat. I'm cautiously optimistic that a C7 Z51 convertible is in my future and now that we've seen the car, I think it will be every bit as satisfying to own as the 427 would have been.
Boy, the C6 bashing is really becoming tiring. I bet there are plenty of people who will be very glad they bought a C6 this year. And next year, too! I bought a used one and I am very happy about it.

ditto - plus we don't get the privilege of paying sticker for the C7.
I purchased a 2009 CRM C6 vert, my first Corvette ever and said (being 63) I'll own this vehicle till i die. Well i was wrong, I'm getting rid of it next week. But its being replaced with a 2013 CRM 427 vert (being 67) I'll own this vehicle until i die. Maybe its an age thing but the C7 looks like something that was designed to attract the younger buyer, IMO.
Didn't buy a '13, but I'm enjoying the heck out of what I've got. If they make a C7 that can hang with what I've got I'll probably take a look at it.
In the meantime, I'll keep having fun with my trusty steeds.
I've actually thought a fun next move could be a resto-mod C2 with an LS driveline and modern suspension. A vette doesn't have to be a new vette to be a cool ride.
The C7 certainly looks interesting (I'm getting used to it !), but I intend to keep what I have for as long as I can.
For me, it was a once in a lifetime purchase and I like it.
Too much new LT1 engine technology that needs to prove its reliability, and other first C7 model-year production bugs etc.
need to be worked-through. Also suspect a C7 Z06 or ZR1 "equivalent" will be introduced within a couple of years.
But of course, when the C7 hits the showrooms I'll certainly check it out in person to satisfy my curiosity...!

C7 vert to keep that bad boy ZR1 of yours company, Gary.
I don't think it is bashing. Whenever something new comes out...it is intended to be better, and stoke excitement. That is why any product gets updated and refined. I am certain that that someone with an Iphone 4S does not get bent everytime they hear someone talk about how good the Iphone 5 is.
I bought a new 2013 coupe in September and have no regrets.
Although there are several improvements on the C7, I don't care for car's appearance.
The C6 is cleaner with smooth flowing lines. IMO the C7 looks more like an Asian car which does not impress me.

You're right. I purchased my 2012 almost 3 months ago, and after seeing the reveal, I have not one single regret. Primarily because I love my C6, but secondly, because I got a great deal and 0% financing. I'll consider a C7 when I can get the same deal....which won't be anytime soon of course.
Bought a 13 GS and have zero regrets. Every time I turn back to look at it in a parking lot I'm stunned by it's looks and love the performance. I mostly like the look of the C7 as well, but I'm happy with what I have.
