Was thinking the same thing as I watched Jackson last night. He is quite the con man down deep.
Yea Jackson's buddy Rick bought the first C7.. BJ is stupid crooked. You notice that +all+ cars were to be sold at no reserve. I guess this doesn't include Jackson or his buddies. The Plum Purple Hemi Cuda convertible was Jackson's as was the Green Hornet Mustang. Both had reserves. It is also interesting that the hemi cuds was the one that Jackson has had for a number of years and mysteriously found the original engine to his car 30 years after it was manufactured. It was found in 'France'. What are the odds.
If anybody thought anybody but Hendricks would end up with the vette should never play poker...Mike

Nice deal BJ has going or itself. 10% comish on 95% of all sales for 2013 is a nice chunk of change.
Did Jackson at some time during the show say his Cuda and Green Hornet had reserves on them?

No wonder Jackson, S Davis and that other fellow (long grey hair) have such large smiles. What a sweet deal.
So on the sale of the Batmobile @ $4,200,000.00 there's $336,000.00 for 8% seller fee and $420,000.00 for 10% buyers fee, the total for BJ on that one sale alone is $756,000.00.

Reserve
There was a reserve sign on the bidding board. The Green Hornet did not meet reserve. Yea Jackson said that there would be some reserve prices. But who would have guessed it would be Jackson and his buddy who was selling his collection last night!
You didn't see one regular seller with a reserve.
Jackson has his stooges in the audience bidding. He also sends some of his cars thru and has people bid on them. I saw them being loaded after an auction several years ago to go back to his collection... If somebody is interested they should look up the info on his Trans Am Challenger that he had to buy from a seller because they screwed up the bidding process.
Suddenly a car with no racing history has tons of it documented....Could make an interesting book. I talked with him at a race a few years ago at Infineon Raceway....Mike

Wasn't really an auction. You could hear the crickets chirp when the starting bid came out at $1mil. Hendricks basically paid $1mil to be the first C7 owner. It reduces his income tax though a bunch so he basically would have paid about $600k or so in income tax on the two cars he bought. Might as well give it to a charity.

I like to see the cars at the BJ auction, but I think the whole thing is rigged. You hear Steve Davis or Craig Jackson saying..."that car should be $100k", and the bidding is at $30k. If the car should be at $100k, why doesnt Steve or Craig bid on it. They also spend more time on certain cars, not just charity cars, than they do on other cars.
