Will I move up to a C7, mostly yes, but I don't see it for a few more years.
The C-6 has smoother lines. The New C-7 has lots of angles. I am curious of how much trouble the multi-displacement of 4 to 8 cylinders going to be.

So next time you come down here from he C-7 section make sure you pay the toll. And be prepared to pay alot more for the C-7 with new 7 spd. manual and this multi-displacement system.

I wish I still had my C-4 LT4 CE Vert, but I sold it for a C-5 Vert.
C5 burned to the ground, got a C-6. Nicer car, but I would still have the C5 apart from the fire.

I will buy a C-7 the same way I bought my C-6. Six years old with less than 10K miles, I am more than happy to have someone else pay the depreciation for me......until then I STILL have a corvette. I may have another C-4 CE before a C-7 and that would be just fine. Poor Me......

Until the power numbers are released, we can't really guess what the car will do in the quarter or to 60. This aside, based on a ~3100lb car and ~450 hp, PLUS launch control, all the other tech goodies, way stiffer frame and suspension improvements, I think we can safely assume the new Stingray will easily best the LS3 cars in performance. If I had to write down a number, I'd say low to flat 12 in the quarter and 3.9-4.0 to 60. Maybe it won't live up to that... but somebody would need to show me something that would convince me otherwise at this point. How great of a day and age do we live in that there are reasonably priced cars on the market that provide performance that was the stuff of legend 10 years ago
At the reveal they indicated the C7 was faster than the G/S specifically, which already had launch control, but which was also the heaviest and slowest C6. The C7 will again offer the Z51 suspension, which means that their will no longer be G/S in the line up. The G/S was a tenth faster than the C6 Coupe in 0 to 60 MPH time due to gearing, but not through the quarter mile, nor top end, because its less aerodynamic, larger frontal area wide body creates too much drag. The C7 Coupe might be a tad quicker than the C6 Coupe, but with much more complex systems like variable valve timing, gasoline direct injection, and cylinder deactivation, future maintenance problems could be much, much greater. Not a good trade-off in my opinion.

The only thing that looks dated about my car is the driver.

All Corvettes look great to be honest. I cannot really say the same about any other car.

That's because you are an Enthusiast and while some others are Owners....I like you, am a Corvette Enthusiast, and in truth love them all. Each in their own right are special. I too will keep my C6 for now, but no doubt will be a C7 owner some day.

Owners come and go with the trends.

I agree with the earlier post that the C-6 is the best looking 'Vette since the mid-years- I hope the C-7 will be even better. Regardless, the C-6 is what made the 'Vette a world class sports car, in looks and performance!

C6 is timeless. I do not like the cyl. deactivation, VVT or D.I. on the C7.

It does still look good. I love the widebody C6 as well as the C7. But every time I'm around my C6 coupe, lowered in Millennium Yellow, I still think it looks so incredibly sweet.

Again the C-6 is a much smoother free flowing car. The new one has alot more angles.
