everything from the similar seats to the angles just seem to flow much better on this car. even dig the round led taillights and the very basic but high quality interior. there are just no distractions and everything screams quality

if you guys haven't seen one of these close, click the link and see if you pick up on what i'm talking about

I do see...thx for sharing this---very nice, elegant car by Lotus.

Interesting video with information.

I do not like it, way too much information available while driving.

Just not needed I don't think.

You should hear them over on Ferrarichat, tearing it up, I mean, it's off balance, designed by pep boys, not one continuous design but obviously by committee....

Then someone posts the profile of the Ferrari F12 against it and it's damned near identical, just straighter lines than the new $350,000 Ferrari. The air dam on the front is about a direct knock off of the Ferrari 458 air dam.

I think it's gorgeous. I'll move into a C7 a few years from now when I can get 0% financing.

You know it's funny how I've seen post after post about how great HUD is and how people are installing them on the cars that weren't equipped with it. Well, here the only big difference is it's now in color and more options and on the dash but...it's on a C7 and thus it's no good.

Why has the C6 forum suddenly become the C7 haters forum? I'm afraid to go to the C5 site.

NO kidding - again - just my opinion - but I think a whole bunch of recent C6 purchasers just got a huge "Oh $hit" feeling in their gut. Maybe picking apart the C7 is some perverse form of justification.....

There's a big difference between offering constructive criticism and being a hater.

I do agree but it's a little late to criticize don't you think? Now, after people have actually driven one, or heck, even seen one in person, then reviews would certainly be nice and a negative review never hurt anyone. That's really all I'm saying. The criticism is coming off much more mean spirited than "constructive."

Question: if someone wasn't a C6 Corvette owner, had never owned a Corvette and mostly didn't pay attention to cars---if the saw the C7 pics and drawings, do you think they'd say,

"Oh, yes, I can see the resemblance. That's definitely a newer, updated version of that other car, the C6, I looked at."

Maybe the new generation that grew up with video games will like it, but not me. I wanted a few more features, like ventilated seats, and integrated bluetooth, but not that crap. At least you can choose a digital full tach, but looks fake. Ferrari jumped on that band wagon too, but at least they left the tach alone. The instruments on the C6 are just about perfect for a sports car IMO. I'm appreciating the C6 more after the unveiling of the C7. A lot of things are crap, but overall, GM got it right, especiall with the fully-decked models. It hurt to get the 4LT, but wouldn't have bought one any other way. The alcantara parts of the CE were a must for me too, and make the car a little more 'special', and it's a pleasure to drive. Will keep it for a few years for sure .

I'm old-fashioned. Give me an analog speedo and tach. I just got a GMC Terrain Denali with intellilink and I find all the technology distracting and, at times, annoying.

Mike love it, reminds me of a Ferrari 458 with the new dash and gauge layout, I hope the driving experience is as much of an improvement as the looks are. Naturally though the homers will never like it because they don't have it!

The major issue is that the older folks wont know how to use it
But GM has made it very clear that they don't care since this generations Corvette is for the younger crowd!

Honestly, if I'm looking at anything other than the radio or the road, it's the HUD. I very rarely look down at the dash gauges. I think this new layout is ok--a step in a good direction.

Im not trying to say you guys are old geezers but somethimes you have to teach an old dog new tricks. Once you get used to a dash like this you will never be able to go back to your standard cluster again. It really is about time GM made a BIG statement with their halo car and with the c7 I really think they have done it. As for the tail lights imo they should have stayed round however who cares when your driving this beautifully constructed true sports car im sure they will be the last thing on any of our minds.
I agree, even though in my early fifties I might be considered an "old Geezer" I still embrace the new technology. I believe having the capability to configure the cluster, information is big. Being able to set it up the way I want is a good idea. My understanding the HUD will be in color also big plus also.

While I am also not a fan of the rear, I am sure it will grow on me.

No, I can tell you that I don't like the interior or exterior of the C7. I am not blindly "brand loyal" as many here seem to be and don't need the C7 to "grow" on me. I don't like it....the lines, the rear end, or the cockpit. Just like Nissan had me with the 350Z Roadster, they lost me on the 370Z Roadster. GM has me with the C6 Convertible but will lose me to whatever convertible I buy next....unless it's the 427.
