Wow, what a response. You'd thought I'd asked something stupid like auto v. stick, or GS v. base, or black v. white!!!! or, heaven forbid.... what is the best deal on XM!!!!
What a great forum, a place where the narrow minded can debate the enlightened! haha
GoGMgo!! I like the C7, the same way I liked the C6. Different is better, unless it's the same!

Wow, what an adult response. "VTY biatches....."

Thing is you never know who is lurking on the other end of a anonymous forum post; they might have connections to NHRA legends... I like engines that will eat the asphalt personally.

Thing is opinions are like rear end h0lez...everyone has one.

Not exactly.

A hand in the bush beats two in the bird all day long. And the best thing going will be a Paid For ... a Paid For C7.

As much as I don't want it to (because I'm not in a position to get a new one) that damn thing grows on me more everyday.

The "must have" feeling is getting stronger with each passing day...

Of course I have envy. That's exactly what those dirty rats wanted to happen! But, too bad for them, I can't afford a pair of roller skates, so hah! I've outsmarted them.

I think the c/6 is a much nicer looking car than the c/7. Guess it's in the eye of the beholder. Keep your 6 and be happy for what you have ,IT'S BETTER.

I have a couple of points to cover and this seemed like a good place to share my thoughts, if anyone agrees please chime in.
I too have a 12GS and the 14 is hot, that said its also clear to me that the buyers of the C7 will have very little or NO support with the new car.
Think of all the simple things that the C6 suffer from that GM cant or wont fix. Think of all the guys and gals with busted rocker panels from something so remedial as putting the car on a lift for service. The oil smell that lasts for 1500 miles if you pour the oil back in the engine too fast, the catchcans they should all have, the vibration the dealers cant fix which is rotor imbalance on the 120K ZR1 cars, and other stuff that the "corvette Certified" GM techs no nothing of. Now look at the MASSIVE amount of electronics and mechaical integration that went into this new car!!!! I want one but I wont get one until two or three years have passed and this still does not promise for the hidden problems to be fixed or addressed. I love my Corvette and could have bought any car up to 100K given my budget but I chose this one. I am not brand loyal I am a car guy(like most of us here) but I am also a consumer and I hope the C7 is flawless but I shudder for new owners if they are plauged in any way.

Thank God, he won't be bashing my beloved GS as much anymore. Now, he has a fresh target. I guess the best Vette GM ever made was the '09. IMO, he is still very bitter about what he perceives GM did to him, i.e., the GS intro in MY '10. jack, you should have waited one year before buying your "dream car".

By the way, I know most of us are really enamored with the C7, just like we were with the new cute blond down the street when we were kids. But, after reading a lot of the verbage and specs I think that the Red one shown is probably the loaded one with all the bells and whistles. Probably costs way over 70K. The grey one is most likely the more basic of the two but also is well equipped and probably is about 65K. My point is, what will the base C7 have? And also, all the talk of weight reduction, but, I still have not seen any weight spec.

But, with all this chatter, it's best to remember that we won't be seeing these cars around until the 3rd quarter....Sept and Oct.
My envy is cooling down...

No need to have envy. Your car looks better, and from what hear about the lighter/exotic driving feel, your car will likely drive/ride better.

I'll think about about getting a C7 when the day comes that a dealer quotes a price well below invoice like my 2012 was, and offer 0% financing....until then, I'll be absolutely loving what I have.

I never intended to "bash" your "beloved'. I have to assume you knew in advance what you were buying and did it of free choice. Being a cold, calculating engineer, I'm somewhat insensitive to the emotional needs of some, including G/S buyers, and I sincerely apologies for this. But please don't attribute your emotional needs to me. I have had GM figured out for many years, and they never disappoint to deliver what I fully expect them. If you want to believe I envy you, then do so if it makes you feel better, but please know I don't envy you in the least bit. In the mean time I will continue to provide my opinion on the C7, which so far I find very disappointing from an engineering point of view.
