Default C7 with blind spots and Camaro tail lights

Sorry I don't like it.

Every Corvette in 60 years has had ROUND tail lights. Its a Corvette signature. This car has a big rear quarter blind spot on each side with a tiny rear window. I see C7s backing into things because of the blind spots.
I rented a '12 Camaro with its blinds. I back into a poll.

Whats up with the rebirth of the '91-96 C4 interior? And the fish emblem on the side. I understand its a Stingray but it looks goofy.

At least it isn't a flounder on the side, but getting used to a animal cracker glued to it will take some time.

Looks like a parasite you need to remove....remember Fifth Element and those things they had to remove from the ship?

I guess you will not be buying one then. Others will love it, and it will be a sucess. Bet on it.

Initially, i liked it. But the more i see the less i like. That back view i didn't see last night is just a turn off for me. Not the usual negativity of the tail lights, which i can't stand but could live with, but the really narrow back window and large blind spots.... Maybe it looks different in person....

The C4 lights were more square with rounded corners, so not round, the C5 were oval, not round... so not sure where all this they have to be round lights is coming from.
The C6 has blind spots too, look at the B pillar back and the large black area on the rear window, thats really no more than the C7 area. I guess people just have to have something to not like about change. I love the new look. I will buy whatever the next bigger horsepower version of it that comes out.

hard to really say without seeing in person
personally i never liked the new camaro, other then the Dale Jr Big block that i was at BJ in 09, but as i sat in the car, immediately didn't like it (the roof line and blind spots)

from what i see on the C7, not liking how the whole rear section of the car looks, again just personal taste from what i see in photos
and... i'm an old timer, and like the older stuff anyway

Blind spots are covered by the mandatory rear view camera. Change is difiicult for many. However, change is here, it is good and I too believe will be embraced by many in the Corvette community. Including me, whom just took delivery of a 2013 NRB Grand Sport vert. I plan to enjoy her for the 36 month warranty period, then trade for a C7.

Blind spots? Learn how to properly adjust your rear view mirrors. Most people don't.

Wow!! I could live with the tail lights,But the back window looks terrible and it does look like the blind spots would be bad. I guess I have to see it in person. BTW, I had a '92 Corvette and it had Square/Rectangular tail lights. At the end of the day it's still a Corvette and a Stingray no less.

It needs some more vents. Seriously, I am very disappointed. I don't like it. I have been riding Harleys for many years, and one thing that HD takes very serious is keeping the "look", despite all the improvements, and unfortunately, Chevy decided to do a total make-over. My 2008 C6 is paid for, runs great, get's good mileage etc....I have no plans to make a change any time soon. IMO, Chevy missed the mark!

I have a Harley V-Rod, Night rod in Denim Black and I bought it because it doesn't look like a Harley, it's the only Harley I liked. There is a market for pretty much everything.
The C7 will sell, and I can pretty much say for sure, this is going to attract a lot younger buyer too

Put the top down on the convertible and blind spots disappear.
Problem solved!

he's right, if you set your mirrors correctly there are no blind spots. Most people set their mirrors in to close to the vehicle. If you can see the body of your car, your mirrors are set in too close to the car.

I predict that within 5 years all you haters will be driving one or want to! I have an 07 Z06 and I am going to keep her for a while, but I will be driving a corvette 10 years from now and I bet it ain't a C6.

I agree with you until the last sentence. I've heard this a few times since last night and i have to disagree! The corvette has ALWAYS attracted a younger "crowd", but has never attracted a younger "buyer" because MOST, not all, young buyers are not even close to being able to afford a corvette.... Thats why most younger buyers have either really old beater sports cars, or rice burners. They can get a rice burner for sometimes under 15k and then put money into it gradually... Thats why corvettes have always been looked at as an old(er) mans car.... Most kids grow up loving and wanting a corvette, but most don't get one or get one at a much later time in life.

That's right. If you properly adjust your mirrors so the rear view looks back and the sides are adjusted out (not looking down the side of the car) to see what's beside you. Rear view camera for backing up.

yes you're right, theres no such thing as blind spots, only people that don't know how to adjust their mirrors.... If a car is doing even 2 miles an hour past your car while you're backing out of a spot your mirrors are not going to help you if they pass in the area of the solid part of the side of the car, otherwise called a blind spot.... even a rear camera will not see it, unless you have a super wide angle camera, which only some have.

I agree to an extent, I guess I was more referring to attracting as in the way it looks. It is a lot more current looking. Not that the C6 wasn't. I am also noticing that we are getting a lot more younger members in the C6 general area of the forum. I have been seeing a lot of posts from 20 something members lately.
