I had to laugh when a guy at the auto show said the C6 didn't have any lines.

but the new engine/7 speed/new extras, made up the difference.
It was said C6 and C7 weigh about the same.

I'll wait to see it in person, but my first impression was, what the hell did they do. Looked to me like they stuck a Camaro rear end on it. Then again I didn't like the C5 when it first came out, then I said I didn't care for the C6 when it came around, ended up with both

The C7 is not an "old mans" car anymore. GM is changing the image of the Vette for younger buyers. And now seeing it for real, I feel they hit a home run!!! the car is low mean and aggressive looking. Those taillights do integrate the sharp lines of the body and that's what they were going for, round ones would not have blended as well. IMO
I mocked the "Camaro taillights" as well, but seeing them now I like it.

This is just my opinion...I think they tried to please everyone with the design. It looks American, German, Italian and Japanese all at the same time. I want to see what it looks like in a Convertible but if "Form follows Function" this C7 is a LOOSER.

I still need to see it in the flesh before I'm completely sold. I'm waiting for the convertible. My wife likes it and she would order it in Cyber Grey.

I'll reserve my judgement until I can touch it, see it and sit in it. I'll also wait to see what Car & Driver guys say when it's driven. So far, I like what has been shown.

Serves torque converter automatic transmission users right. If all else fails, learn how to drive a manual. Now that they have launch control and automaticaly match engine speed on downshifting they've pretty well idiot proofed it, even for those who never learned how to drive a sports car.
Tell me, did they make it idiot proof enough so those Vette owners with physical limitations will now be able to drive a manual?
I think the interior is a great improvement but the exterior, although a beautiful car, does not make me want to run out and trade my C6, maybe with time that will change.
