tail light wire identification help please
So i bought a set of Sweep Lite tail light conversions.
In the instructions it shows the resistor being tapped into "major" and "ground" it shows a picture of a light socket labled "ground" "major" and "minor"
After some research, I find that only mustang sockets are labled major, minor, ground.
So questions are:
What is "major" referring to?
Is it just the turn signal wire? Something I can put my test-light on with the turn signals on and locate?
Anyone know off the top of their head which color it is on the socket?

pull one of the tail lights out and check the wires. I beleive any with a stripe will be the turn signal. Easy enough to test it.

Major and minor refer to the two filaments in the light bulb.
The major filament is the brighter one used for turn signals and brakes.
The minor is the dimmer filament used for the tail/parking lights.
Kinda old school terminology.

Ok, just got done with my install. For reference, on my driver side, the major wire was yellow. On the passenger side, it was green.
I ended up just using a light tester, let me tell you, there is just about nothing to ground it to while you are in there, i ended up using the ground off of the socket, lol.

If you remove the outer, passenger-side tail light and look straight down, you will find this grounding point.
