Default Do you daily drive?

I just realized I just completed my 13th year straight of daily driving Corvettes. 2000 C5 -> 2005 C6 coupe -> 2009 C6 Z06 (which is still my daily).

The only time I don't drive is if we get snow that sticks on the road which is pretty rare in the PNW.

I buy these cars because I like to drive them. Worrying about scratches or dirt isn't really my style, I drive the hell out of them and GM always seems to come up with enough to keep me buying new ones.

Any other hardcore daily drivers out there? Anyone else daily drive their Z06? Probably a dumb question around here. Although I've never met anyone else that's done it as consistently as me yet.

I have daily driven my 2010 Coupe 3LT JSB since I purchased it on 10th of DEC 2010. High Desert Southern California. Snow once a year. No regrets!

31,000 miles on my 2011 just under 2 years. I tried to keep it in the garage but I gave up and sold my GTO so now I drive it every day. A bad day gets better with just a few miles.

Yeah, I've probably driven it more in the rain than in the dry. You do have to take it easy on the throttle sometimes.

The Z06 is definitely more beastly and harder to live with but the extra performance more than makes up for it.

I bet When I lived in Portland the ruts in the roads made anything with wide tires hydroplane city.

There are definitely places where I need to be careful. After doing it for so long driving in the rain is automatic and second nature to me now though. I drove RWD Cobra's in the late 90's so it's basically been 16 years straight of dealing with this BS.

Snow is my true nemesis.

Oh and I was reading and participating in Corvette forum back when I got my first Vette. Lost my previous account during a forum changeover.

I tend to become more active when the next model is coming because I start getting excited.

I never expected to be a Chevy guy as I was more of a Ford kid.

I have an '09 C6 MN6 F55 Coupe equipped with all-weather Michelin Pilot Sport Plus ZP tires so I can drive it here 365 days a year. But if I go out on a crappy day like today, I take the '10 Mustang Convertible. Too many women driving Escalades and jabbering on their cell phones totally unaware of their surroundings, especially low slung sports cars.

I consider my 012 coupe a DD since it's my only car, but it does only get driven about 5-8 times a week and not every day. However, I will put about 6K to 8K miles a year on it.

My wife has her own car, but I do drive it when the whole family is going somewhere together.

Only time I don't drive the Vette is the 8-10 days a year when there's snow on the ground here.

DD every dai in he DFW area. Used to drive an 07 M6, but it was pretty flakey in the snow, even with Michelin PS2 AS ZPs. My 99 auto did much better. I've got a 2011 GS and have had no problems so far. We'll see how it goes. Usually drive 15,000 miles each year

DD in the 2009 for me, 15k-20k per year; unless the roads are salty or I need the extra capacity of our two Toyotas.

12 years in three different Corvettes and still loving it.
