I drove 475 miles to buy my GS from Chriswell, but not from Mike, however he was sitting one desk over,we met briefly,I could tell he was a good guy and this was before I joined the forum and knew who he was!!. If you want a Corvette on the East coast, you can't beat Chriswell!!!

I bought my 2010 from Criswell and it was really a great experience. Mike is a class act. Criswell's parking lot is like Disneyland for Vette fanatics.

Just got finished reading all of the posts to this wonderful thread. I am at a loss for words, because everyone has spoken so eloquently and honestly about their experiences with Mike.

I have a lot of experiences I could share with this character Mike Furman. About 8 months ago, I called Mike for the first time to tell him how I so enjoyed his great pictures and story lines of deliveries to his throngs of satisfied customers. No one else on CF expresses the passion of a sale to a customer like Mike. Additionally, those customers become life long friends with Mike, and he nurtures those relationships because he personally cares for his customers. The importance of the car sale is always well down the list of priorities for Mike because friendships mean more than the sale of the product.

So, how do I know all of this? Other than a few conversations (out of many!) that were directed to Mike regarding the C7 development and introduction, we have spent hours on the phone and email communicating about subjects unrelated to Corvettedom... Hurricane Sandy and its effects on Mike's flooded basement, his charitable donations and Ambassadorship to the Corvette Museum, his constant appearances at the Corvette factory (where he is on first name basis with Plant Manager and many employees), his two week all expense paid trips to the 24 hours of Le Mans in France with his lovely wife as a reward from Chevy for being the Nations top Corvette salesman, etc...

But wait, there is more! Shortly after my first phone call to Mike giving him kudos for his introspective write ups on CF, there arrived a mailing tube (unsolicited by me) at my front door. Upon opening the tube, I was in complete shock to realize that I received a numbered and signed print of John Fitch by Cory Correl. It even included a 2" x 2" piece of the actual fiberglass body panel from the 1956 Corvette that was driven by John Fitch at Sebring. Mike took a genuine interest in our local Corvette club, of which I am the Webmaster in Prescott, Az. He allowed us to auction his donated original John Fitch print with all of the proceeds going to our local Humane Society. The importance and historical value of this print is immense, as John Fitch passed away shortly after I received the print. To demonstrate Mike's genuine charitable interests to Corvette, he has also donated John Fitch prints to the Corvette Museum and to the Plant Manager at Bowling Green. Both of these prints are displayed for all to view at these facilities.

One other item here... Mike has spent many hours emailing and calling me to help me educate our club members with his 34 years of Corvette knowledge. Because of my growing relationship with Mike, we put our collective heads together and started a link on our local club website titled "Factoids" (aka Furman Factoids). www.prescottvettesette.org and click on factoids. This was the least I could do for all of Mike's time and effort in educating me about the passion of Corvettes.

Oh, and I forgot to mention..... I have never met Mike, never have purchased a car from him, and will most likely hang on to my C6 for many years to come. Yet, knowing all of this, Mike continues to keep our friendship alive and Furman Factoids on the front burner on our Corvette website. What is most remarkable to me about Mike is that he never fails to answer his cell, no matter what time of day or night I call (3 hour east/west coast difference)... whether he is at home, driving, or actually at his desk at Criswell!

Mike not only runs with the Big Dawgs... he is the BIGGEST of the Dawgs in the Corvette world!!!

I do for others because I truly am a Corvette Enthusiast selling Corvettes. You mentioned my basement flooding during Hurricane Sandy...I lost much of my Corvette memorabilia collection in the storage room and my entire finished basement but all I could think about were the people in NJ and NY who got slammed so hard and lost so much. I got a call from a new customer named George in Staten Island and he wanted to order a C7 back just after Sandy happened. I asked how he and his family did thru the storm, he said he was fine but his son lost his entire house...It was like that all thru out the NY Metro area...and I was born and raised in a very small town in NJ so my heart went out to all those effected. Any way, Thank you for the kind words Lyn and Steve...maybe someday we will meet at a Corvette event but in the meantime..keep up with the good questions regarding the Corvette.

Furman is a first-class friend, who also happens to sell a lot of Callaway vehicles and other Corvettes

When it comes to product knowledge, Mike has a passion for only sharing the facts, not rumors or half-truths just to gain a quick deal. It is that kind of integrity which keeps Furman's customers returning

Default Mike Furman thank you

Hi Mike, once again,Me and Annie both thank you very much for finding our dream car. Mike sold me a 2012 inferno orange 3LT GS coupe. I Love it !!!
My vette is now hibernating in the garage. Cant wait till spring time to have some fun again. Mike is like a distant uncle lol. We keep in touch weekly and chat about vettes and life in general. He continues to offer me tech tips on my car and tells me please don't hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns. As far as im concerned long after the sale of any vehicle it's the personal service that remains. Once again, Mike's integrity and product knowledge is second to none.Thank you Mike Furman. Hope all is going well with your family. stay warm this winter. BTW everyone,When i open up my Corvette dealership in New York i'm kidnapping Mike. (just kidding Mr Criswell) Warm regards,George and Annie

Mike is the man! Won't find anyone who knows as much about Corvettes and will work with you to get the one you want. Kept myself and my club informed of all the C7 announcements. Ready to buy my C7 now.

Just to throw in my two cents I am a CA resident and still bought from Mike... The experience was so painless and he is such a good guy that I will be buying a C7 from him at some point even though I have to ship it across the country! He took all of my really obnoxious phone calls dealing with registering an east coast car in CA (which you can) and put in the effort to make me comfortable with the purchase.

There is a reason for the many positive posts, and it has to do with being treated as a friend whether your buying a car or not. Maybe you have bought a car from him in the past, maybe you will buy a car from him in the future, and maybe you just share the same passion for Corvettes that he does. In any case, you can count on being treated with friendship by Mike. We've known each other for several years now after being introduced by another mutual friend. It has been my good fortune to have met Mike, and to be able to swap vette experiences with him.

My wife and I met Mike in Carlisle this past summer. He was busy at the time but still took time to talk to us for about a half hour. He loves Corvettes, knows the business, and is a very personable guy. Mike was going thru some family issues, and still may be, but his spirit was upbeat. I don't know too many people who've lasted in the car business for the length of time he has. And he's from the NY-NJ area.
I didn't buy my 2012 from Mike, but he may make it very hard to resist his charm next time.
I hope all is well with you and the family, Mike.

I had major concerns about joining the Forum as a paying vendor...but it's responses like what I have received on these posts that make it all worth while. I don't have enough time in my life to deal with negative people/responses so I choose to help every way I can. Thank you, I am humbled every time I read all the posts on this thread. If you have passion for the Corvette, whether you bought it from me or not, our paths will cross and I will be glad to answer any questions and find the answer if need be.

Best Regards,

That's a "pick" if I've ever seen one. I know, I'm a professional .

There are only two people I track routinely on CF...Wolf Dog (for humor and body care) and my salesman, Mike Furman. After getting the run around from local dealer in Tyson's (ready to pay cash....their loss) I called Mike, drove the 40 miles, and left in my 2010 GS. When I buy my next Corvette, it will be from Mike and or Criswell. I truly appreciate a professional experience and he delivers. Suggest if you are in the market for a Corvette to at least email or call him. It cannot hurt. Thanks Mike!

Although Mike and I have never met, it is very apparent that he is the real deal through and through. A gentleman in every sense of the word. He and my forum friend Bill, (AORoads) have both extended an invitation to stop in and visit when I attend my nieces graduation this spring from Maryland University. I hope I get that opportunity....
