Default need your opinion on Viper srt10

I've been on the look out for a c6 z06 to buy but with the c7 reveal here soon it seems like their prices are going down quite a bit. Little scary. So I decided to hold up a month or two for the right one. But just today I test drove a 2003 SRT10 Viper that my buddy has at his dealership. Took it every where lol had it for half the day and I fell inlove with it. Very different from my base c6. So now im thinking if keeping my vette and buying the viper..its red conv with about 16k for $43k.not too bad. Plus id keep my vette. Should I pull the trigger? Opinions welcomed!
Thats not where I live btw lol I was visiting a buddy of mine

Have one of each.

Go for the Viper......great looking car. I am more partial to the GTS of the prior gen but those cars are very sharp looking.

If you like that gen, then get a 2006 coupe it will hold its value much better, that gen vert doesnt do well resale wise.

Lol youre right the coupe is very sharp. But im getting an alright deal. Plus my vettes a coupe already so a vert wouldnt be too bad for me. If I get it ill always stay with that 'need' for a z06 though..but I really like it this viper. It was my first time driving one. Theyre not very comftorable that's for sure. Im 6'3 235lbs lol

Hey man, I think having a coupe and a vert is a great couple of cars to have in your garage.

If you like it, go for it. I wouldnt blame you.

I really prefer the look of the coupes over the Verts...are you absolutely sold on the Vert? An 06 coupe with similiar mileage can be had for only a little bit more...43k is too high for that mileage IMO

Not completly sold..this car just seemed to cross my path while on the look out for a Z. Im looking at the moment and all the 06 coupes are about $50k with a few more miles. My buddy's the owner of the dealership he paid high $39 for it. Out the door for me is $43k

Well there's certainly something to be said for the fact that you can drive it, inspect it and feel comfortable with it...saving $3000 but having to ship it from Florida won't necessarily give you that warm cozy feeling

For the record, I got my first Viper the same way you did. I had a C6, and had full intentions of getting a C6Z, but I got a chance to drive a black 03 Viper Vert and was hooked! I'm now on my third Viper

Lol thats awsome! I liked the sound of the engine as soon as I turned it on. I was like whoa! My vettes loud but I have headers and no cats. But this things just stock and it roars. Maybe a few bolt ons and a tune I could make it as fast as a Z

Hey man, I was torn between a Viper GTS and a new Corvette because the prices were slo close. Even had some friends go check out a few that I really liked that turned out to be great (and was able to purchase a warranty) cars but in the end I got the Corvette because it was more comfy. However, if I had a Corvette already I wouldnt think twice about buying a Viper. Live while you are young.....why save till you are old just to be able to buy the things only young people can enjoy? haha

Remember, the 2nd kids takes 9 months, the first cam come at any time.
