Do You Wish You Had Laser Jammer Capability
Do you wish you had a laser jammer / shifter installed? Like what comes with a Escort 9500ci. Or are you content with laser warning like in the V1 or Escort 9500ix?
We are not debating which detector is best here, simply do you wish you had laser jamming / shifter capability?

Any time you are 5 mph over the posted limit, you are a laser candidate in some areas, 10 mph virtually anywhere. I don't think that's exactly reckless.

1) Are you saying Lit up by Laser?
2) how many MPH (or %) over the limit where you driving in most cases, on average, when targeted?
3) Were you keeping pace with traffic or passing
These factors have a whole lot to do with if you get pulled over and if you get ticketed.
80 in a 65 keeping up with traffic vs 80 when everyone else is doing 70 are two totally different circumstance. Thanks

The detectors only tell you about laser, and as you mentioned, by then you're usually toast.
The shifters/jammers, working properly, actually jam the signal and prevent the laser unit from reading your speed. Unfortunately, illegal in some states.

Thanks, I'm trying to understand the effectiveness of the Detector, so some clarifying questions:
1) Are you saying Lit up by Laser?
2) how many MPH (or %) over the limit where you driving in most cases, on average, when targeted?
3) Were you keeping pace with traffic or passing

So many circumstances, I would have to say all of the above. I will say the small business owner who sold and installed it, recently stopped selling K40 due to his customers getting tickets. The car it was in before was a C63 with long tubes and 500 whp. It was so fast and smooth that I would be way over the limit without realizing it. Anytime I got on the gas I was sure every officer within a mile could hear me coming. Bottom-line was zero tickets since owning it, the system tells you if it is laser and provides front or rear orientation. Hit the mute button as you slow down which disables the shifters. As I understand jamming or shifting laser is illegal in all states but this buys you a couple seconds before they burn through.

Most of the time i drive reasonable and have no need for laser jammer capability. Its illegal here in CA. I do have the V1 that I move from car to car when out on the road. I assume they are permanent mount in the cars which wont help me out as I drive a variety of cars.
