Default I really can't wait for a C6

I've been on the hunt for a couple of months (actually my whole life) for a C6. I've been close a couple of times, but have yet to find the car for me. I think since people love these cars so much they have a hard time letting them go.

It's upsetting to think I live in southern California but can't find a proper vette in my range. This wait is killing me! I really hope to have one by spring.

You guys are incredibly lucky to own such wonderful cars.

You've been looking your whole life, and the C6 came out in 2005, so you are no more than 8 years old? Aren't you a little to young to drive?

You will find that it was worth the wait!!! Good luck in your hunt. I monitored the market religously for several months and it paid off when I came accross a USED 2011 last year with 5 (yes, FIVE) miles on it! So, keep looking DAILY and your dream will be realized.

Yes----- title transferred to a lady who won it in a raffle and, upon delivery, drove it for less than a mile away from the dealership before making a u-turn, returning to the dealership and negotiating a deal for a more docile Malibu.

It happens! I got my 2012 in a similar fashion. Some doctor ordered it from the factory just as he wanted, 2LT in Cyber Gray, having never seen one in the flesh. The car was delivered to the dealeership and the doctor was called to tell him the paperwork was done, including the title, and to come pick up his car. When he got to the delership, he decided that the gray was too dark and he did not want the car. He ended up selling the car back to the dealership (at a significant loss I would imagine) and ordered another car in a different color. Since the original car had already been titled, the delearship had to sell it as a GM-certified preowned car. Along came me with checkbook in hand! I ended up getting a branch new car with 18 miles on it for the price of a used car along with a 4-year warranty.

Winter is the best time to buy. Prices go up in the spring.

Good that you are being patient and not buying the first car you see. Don't limit yourself to SoCa either as I purchased my vert from Minn. in the dead of winter and had it shipped here. Have fun with your search!

There's nothing wrong with starting with a nice C5, I have many friends that really like theirs. Then, upgrade later, when you can afford it.

Buy my C6 then.

I think I may want a C5Z instead or something I can drive all year everyday instead.

I have been looking for about 8 months now here in SoCal and expect it to be a few more before I find the right one. I almost settled on one I found in SD about a month ago but thankfully decided to hold off for the one I am really looking for.
An interesting tid-bit, I looked in MN a month ago when i was visiting my mom and surprisingly found the prices to be the same or more as what can be found here in Kalifornia.

Some folks don't want to buy a C6, they want to steal one.

And some, like me, are rewarded for being patient and monitoring the market very closely until a really good deal appears.
