Kinda makes all those jerks who were complaining about the Volt look....small. I actually wrote to one of the "celebrities" on a station who claimed his quit on him twice (once in a tunnel). I asked him if he knew it was not a full electric (as in, electric-only, no gas engine), and that if he bothered to fill up the tank the damn car would run on something other than batteries. He couldn't stop bashing it right away, but since his second and last bash, no more comments.

PS. I like my Vette but may not afford the new one coming out unless there are some serious discounts! (later in the model run, that is)

Without question the Volt has been a sales disaster. I think Volt buyers (like Prius buyers) do so as much to make a statement as anything else. The car could catch on fire and they'd still say they're satisfied with it.

No sibling rivalry here...just trying to point out that there are different strokes for different folks. Don't buy a car based on what other people are satisfied with. Get out, drive what you might like and then make the decision. I wouldn't be caught dead owning a Prius...that's just me. I've given people rides in my Corvette and there were lots who hated it - they don't like the acceleration factor at all. You can tell by their reaction when you step on the gas.

I usually get a massive itch to get rid of a car after the 6 month mark (I switched cars every year for the past 10 years that I have been driving), but I'm still really loving my LS3 Vette. The only cars I am thinking about now are either the Z06 or the ZR1

I waited way too long for the first, but it was worth the wait and I'd surely do it again.

My thoughts too. What really sold me was when a friend literally forced me to drive his C5.

I was used to the C2/C3/C4 things that I didn't like, but that one drive of his car got me interested. I ended up with a new C6, even though I started looking for a C5 Z06.

Unfortunately, I ended up having a "lemon C6 2008" (GM bought it back), but I stuck with a vette, and I'm still glad I did, close to 2 years of driving the 2011 daily.

I gave up on CR a long time ago when they only rec asian cars. Good to see US automakers are competitive again.

I am on my 3rd C6 and can not think of any other make I would trade for.
My 07 has been a great car and I am still in love with it after 5+ years.

The C6 Corvette. A great car and a true testament to American ingenuity. It has all any car guy or gal would ever need and then some. Dollar for dollar, there is no match for the C6.
