My 2011 GS does not recognize my new smart phone, Samsung Galaxy S3...it worked well when I had my iPhone 4s.

my 2010 head unit recognizes GS3 here....

I have a 2011 GS, and I got a letter from GM, saying to push the OnStar button (even though I don't have a subscription), and tell them to activate my system for some cell phone updates.

They did it, and All cell phones that I have tried connect fine.

Maybe check with your dealer?
