I have been private messaged by many of the Corvette Forum asking about what happened to my son, Tyler. Here is what I wrote them back.
~My son Tyler was hit by a car and thrown 35 ft up and over it on July 29th at 5pm...and our lives, especially his will never be the same. He is a 20 yr old College guy and he was working 7 days a week/ 3 nights a week in Ocean City, Md. Traveling back to his apartment on a Moped in the bike/bus lane he was hit by a 73 yr old man cutting across 2 lanes to get in a parking lot driving a mid size sedan at 35 mph and never saw my son. Clipped him pretty good as he flew up and over and by the grace of god landed at the foot of an off duty Nurse and she went into instant Triage mode. His left calf muscle was sliced in half and hanging out of his leg. He was a Track star and a baseball player in high school so you can imagine what this has done to him and its more then physical. My wife and I were 4 hrs away when we got the Emergency Room phone call...needless to say as any parent would say, it's the 2nd worst phone call a parent can receive.

I called to check on Steve this afternoon and he made the trip home and was very appreciative of me checking up on him. 860 miles since yesterday morning and several people attempting to race him...which made him laugh.

Heard from Steve and Linda...about their tri black 427 Convt
I heard from Steve and Linda today and they are over the moon with this Triple Black 427 Convt. They just can't believe it took 44 yrs for Chevy to make a 427 Convt and that GM will never make another. Needless to say they are so glad they bought this one.
