Default Hot Seat

I had the chance to use the heated seats this morning, and was it hot talk about a hot seat. My question is does the heater go off on it's own on a thermostat if it gets to hot? It got so hot I had to turn it off myself.

It does not. I use the low setting and it stays just warm enough to be comfortable.

The seat heating system relies on driver/passenger input...if it's too hot turn it down.

having come from an Infiniti G sedan that had variable temp heated seats, the Corvette's two choice heated seat system is primitive at best.

even the low setting gets too hot.

not surprised though considering the yesteryear tech interior.

I never use it in the Corvette, but my wife almost always does, whether it's 85 degrees or not!

We have two Toyota Camrys, the XLE (highest level) version. In both of them, the seat heat is either On or Off, no Low setting. That is, literally, a PITA; because they get too hot for me after just a minute.

Thr High setting in our 2006 and now 2009, is like the On setting in the Toyotas: gets too hot very quickly. But when I put the Corvette seats on Low, they are perfect for me.

well my small butt requires minimal heat.

the Infiniti G convertible has seats that cool as well as heat...it's amazing how well those chilled seats work when you want some chill during the summer.

I'm in the Medium category, but my wife unfortunately requires a lot of heat.

I don't use the seat warmers very often, but the low setting is about right for me.

I use mine almost daily, even when it's hot outside. The heat is about perfect on high for me.

Same here. Bought an 06 vert in Napa one cold grey morning and drove it to Mendocino for a 'test' ride back down the coast to Stinson Beach and over Mt. Tam to home in SJ. Clicked it on by mistake and wow! Figured it had a low position and with the heater on and top down, it was nice and warm, not too hot at all. Rather have them than not. But, even my heated gloves for my motorcycle have three heat settings...

The heated seats really help my back. I start it out on high and then switch it over to the low setting. I was in FL in June when the car was 1 week old, I had the AC going hard and my heated seat on. Now that my friends is the real life. Love my 2013 much more than my 03!!!!

I start work at 5am and drive three miles one way. The heater doesn't have time to warm up so I use the seat heater. I use it every morning in the winter.

High is way too hot for me. Low is ok for a few minutes then I have to turn it off. Then again I'm not a big user of heated seats. Even here in the midwest when it gets below zero I can only use them for a few minutes before I get too hot. And no I'm not over weight

The heated seats let me drive my Vert top-down in 40 degree weather.

High is too hot, but it gets the seat up to temp quickly and then the low setting is comfortable.

Wish they had the "Air Scarf" neck/head heaters like Mercedes, and AC in the seat would be great too. Maybe the C7....
