oil change in my 12' Grand Sport
I changed my oil and my buddies garage (he has a lift) after having driven it about 40+ miles so the oil was good and hot. I've heard about people putting only 10qts of oil and I figured that that would be good enough (what difference does 1/2qt make) and I did not want to put too much oil in it. So I only put 10qts and drove it home. When I got home, after waiting 5 minutes like the manual says, I checked the dipstick and the oil just did come up to when the "checkered" marking starts at the bottom. I then added 1/2qt and it came up to the halfway mark to where it shoud be. So I guess that some people may get away with adding only 10qts when their oil isn't really warmed up but my was so I required the full amount. Anyway, hope this helps someone who changes their own oil.

Yes, I have a dry sump and I used Mobile 1 Ext. Perf. Synthtic and I replaced my filter with a UPF48R....a lifter comes in handy for an oil change!
